I will and I hope that is true . Did you get offended by my comment ? Lol
No I wasn’t offended at all. I enjoy watching him play but I don’t see him being anything more than the 3rd string QB. So unless Tua and Bridgewater go down, I just don’t expect to see him play again until next preseason.

I do think he has a very good chance of being Tua’s backup in 2023.

I will go out on a limb and say Thompson has outplayed Bridgewater so far. Unless Bridgewater lights it up next week against Philly, ST has earned the back up position in my opinion.

Back up to who? Tua?

You can't be serious.

Thompson has played good-great agaisnt guys that won't be here in a few weeks.

He has yet to face 1 type defense.

He hasn't seen NFL taylored game planning to take away what he does best.

He doesn't have the experience for alot of things including truly supporting the starting QB with meaningful feedback etc during game situations

Give me a break with that stuff...

Personally I always like to root for the young guys and that is what preseason is all about. Even if they latch on elsewhere

If Teddy has to play a lot of games we are probably doomed but as a backup he can give you a chance in a game or two.
That can be said about every backup in the league. They are backups and not starters for a reason.

The thing everyone should be talking about and worried about is the Running game not the QBs.
I am still more worried about the OL than the running back position. This offense will only be as effective as the OL allows it to be. They can’t keep allowing the running backs to get hit as soon as the ball is handed off.
