Only you would come away with such BS. The Jets showed up hyped, motivated, ready to play. The Dolphins didn't and it showed. Rex Ryan is a better motivator BY FAR than Philbin...no secret there.
No matter what you come up with, Geno Vs. Ryan isn't even reality. Jets offense had a better day than the Dolphins offense, and they won the game. Many of the Jets players out-hustled the Dolphins that day, no doubt about it.
But to say that because of that game, Tannehill is regressing and Geno is a progressing, is laughable at very best. Ryan's best game of the year was 2 games prior against the Pats. Sure sounds like regression eh? During that same week, Geno was what...53% completions 1 TD / 1 INT? RT was injured those last 2 games by the way...
Geno's (or the Jets offense's) best performances were in the first half of the season, particularly the game against the Falcons, so how is that progression?
But you go ahead believing in QB Head-to-Head...conveniently forget about the first game where Geno and Jets threw up a stellar 8.3 QBR.
why is that an excuse? why would the Jets, w/ nothing to play for, show up more motivated and hyped than Miami battling for their first playoff app since 2008? why does a team need a coach to motivate in that scenario? shouldn't supposed leaders like Ryan make sure the team(at least his O) is ready to play?
I said late in the year geno progressed, Ryan regressed. There's really no argument against that. I didn't say Ryan would keep going backward or that geno would keep going forward but that is what happened late in 2013.
Ohhhhh Ryan was injured, that's the latest excuse:lol2: did he play? he's judged on what he did on the field and it was awful.
Keep looking at statlines, I'll watch the games.
Geno was awful most of the year, he had a great game at Atlanta but that was blip. he was terrible most of the first 3 qtrs. of the year outside of that game. the last qtr of the season he played his best football BY FAR.
what does the first game have to do w/ anything? was that in the final qtr of the year like I discussed? and keep looking at #s b/c Ryan stunk in that game too, he kept us in a game that should have been over by halftime.
One QB's performance means nothing compared to another QB's performance. It means the defense played better.
Regardless, none of this makes any difference to my statement. Geno is not even the 4th best QB in this division. One game will not change that. That is reality.
who is ahead of him that geno isn't 4th? the guy he will likely beat out for the starting job?
Geno could be 2nd, 3rd, 4th or worse- we'll see but the biggest difference in that week 17 game was the play at QB. One guy stepped up and the other stepped back just as he did the week before.
I'm not the idiot that thinks a zero TD 190 yard day is a "good" performance
The funny thing is you think this is a compliment towards you.
You have said enough to know how much you understand of this game.
