Philbin on the way out?

I heard Ross is going to interview a bunch of hot coaching candidates - including Nick Saban - who will all turn him down. After publically humiliating Ross by turning the job down, he is going to give Philbin a contract extension to smooth over his ruffled feathers. The team, understanding that this is a false gesture will quit on him and begin next season 0-7, before going on a meaningless run and thereby ruining the organization's chances of getting a good first round draft position.

Regardless of personal feelings and based purely on principal, if Ireland survives ANOTHER head coaching/regime change... I will be done.

But alas, I have no alternatives. Poor planning on my part.

I'm waiting for enduro's news, a powerful source.

ESPN is located in Bristol, Connecticut, not South Florida. They are all Patriot fans up there, so of course someone there might be saying, "I could see the Dolphins firing Philbin." This is like believing what some hack at Bleacher Report is saying.

if you fire Ireland then Philbin will have to go as well. Can't bring in a good GM and tell him this is his coach. I am on the fence about Philbin. Is constant turn over working?

Joe will gain more power after this debacle. Just watch.

Not buying it and I don't think that would be smart.. Sherman and some other coaches like Turner should get the axe asap though.
