Pop the champagne!!!!

Didn't even come to mind until this thread... I kinda think the luster
of that amazing achievement has worn off just a tad since the franchise
has been mired in mediocrity or worse for umpteen years.

Beyond that it's so long ago it literally predates EVERYTHING that
defines the high-tech age. Imagine no internets! No streaming
porn! No 500 channels with nothing on! No smart phones (YES)!
No SUVs (YES)! And...

At their age they’d better hope someone goes undefeated soon. Not sure how much more perfection their livers can take.

If BB and Brady couldn't do it, I don't think it will ever be done again given the length of the season now.

I'm not as relieved as I could be.

I held not the slightest shred of concern that the Garroppoling 49ers were going to finish the regular season undefeated, let alone go through the playoffs and Super Bowl without a loss.

What made me laugh was they kept showing stats of him and comparing him to Marino and Manning... please.

He got lucky Seattle dropped 2 picks that should have ended the game.

I'm softening on him a bit.

I've been super hard on him as tremendously overrated, but he's doing a good job.

But he totally lost it last night. Darnold's ghosts must have made the trip to San Francisco for that game.

Congrats to the 1972 Dolphins, you guys were perfect...BUT

I'm afraid next year it might finally be broken, and population will now be 2.

At least this guy will do his best with his new players to do so....

Still Perfect!! Want to acknowledge Nick Buoniconti as well as Jim Langer helluva players HOFers who we lost not to long ago. Rest in Perfection.

Such a shame the list of players celebrating this great feat diminishes each year. That is why it is important as true fans to never let the accomplishment die.

What makes me angry is other fans of our beloved team think history is not important. That is a ****ing cop-out. We have fans here since 1966 when we were established so why in the **** would we not be happy for this accomplishment huh? I have been a Miami Dolphins fan for 37+ years. I reaped their history, I study it, and I revel in it because I live and breathe and bleed MIAMI DOLPHINS!!!! ITS ****ING OURS BOYS!!!! Who ****ing cares what others and some of you think that's ****ing ridiculous!!! Yes, it is 47 years ago but, it is when we went to 3 Super Bowls in a row and we won 2 of 3. Why fret? At least we have 2 Lombardi Trophies!! Do you think Don Shula and the boys of '72 don't care? You are high if you think its the pass and let it go. **** that!!! I will forever celebrate because no one will EVER do it again! Bank it!

You sound like that dad who talks about that time he scored 4 touchdowns in a single game playing for Polk High...

No one is saying the team history is not important, but this is what we have as fans...an accomplishment that happened almost 50 years ago. That is what we hang our hats on...we have that lone undefeated season. I think everyone on here would trade that accomplishment for a couple of Super Bowls during the Marino era.

Also, it is the history of a sports team...it is about as important as the history od a movie franchise, a TV show, A video game....

Care to explain about the dad thingy? Are you saying I am Al Bundy from Married With Children? I have never been compared to the guy but thanks for noticing. I am Italian so sometimes I get a little aggravated. Capisci.

But, see this is where you are wrong its not about that its about winning the Super Bowl while going undefeated We went to Super Bowl VI and loss the following year went 17-0 and won, the following year after that we won again. It is those accomplishments we have to be proud of because that's all we have 1971, 1972, 1973, 1982, 1984. Look man no more arguing. We are still fans either way some of us feel differently and some us feel another. That's it I am done okay. Okay.

Thank you for picking up on the joke...it was more about living in the past than anything else.

Here's to a near-future Super Bowl win we can all talk about.

Every year that passes, it gets a little more
