Prediction Time: How Many Wins for Miami?

Both lines (Offense/Defense) fail to do what their supposed to...3 to 4 wins.

Both lines are somewhat solid, but Miami decides to allow Fitz to play way more then Rosen...5 to 7 wins

Rosen is given more starts then Fitz with both sides of the line somewhat solid...7 to 10 wins.

Appreciate all the comments. I feel 3-4 but if we somehow get to 7 I think we have something to build on. 7 would be miraculous imo and would mean that our pathetic OL finally came together for whatever reason but thats a good thing. I still think we will get manhandled by a stout DL and as a result obvious passing downs and run blocking will be embarrassing but I hope i'm wrong. Time will tell.

I think this team will end up with a 3-13 record and the top pick in next year's draft and will draft a QB.

3-4 Wins. They'll go as far as the Offensive Line takes them. It feels like the Defense will potentially be better than originally expected.

9W - 7L

For me, fine tuning my prediction beyond this becomes more a function of my inherent optimism rather then my reason based analysis which follows.

I think this season will in some ways be a duplicate of Gases' first season.

With a new coach and a, relatively speaking, new team of players; I anticipate a slow start followed by a strong finish as the team begins to function with more consistency as the season progresses.

Our unique QB situation will cause some differences, in that Fitz is likely to start the first 4 to 6 games and I anticipate Rosen starting the last 10 to 12 games. The results are likely to be a stronger start then 2016 with Fitz and a slightly slower finish with Rosen, whom I still expect to get better towards the end of the season.

This all bodes well for having a chance to get into the playoffs and get there with a QB who is peaking.

In the end, hind sight always shows what the real answer is.

I am going with 4, our defense being good enough to keep the scores low and our field goal kicker is money. This offense has mismatches that are indefensible right now no matter who the quarterback is.

I'll say 6 wins, the heat in Miami gives them a couple of early W's.

Not sure why there is a video in the text box, but that's annoying...

anyway, I think we win 2 games this year. Redskins and a Jets game.

Time for your fearless predictions. How many wins this year for our beloved Miami Dolphins?

I'm struggling with this one. In a way I think the team will overachieve, but then I look at the mess I've seen this preseason on the offensive line. That makes everything hard to predict on offense. Miami has some talent at the skill position, some speed with players like Drake, Wilson, Grant, Ballage and Stills. Some of those players might be traded so that's something else to consider. I could easily see the offense being bottom third in the league, although with a lot of young talent there is a chance that players develop, maybe even quickly, as the season progresses.

Defensively, I'm impressed with what I've seen in preseason especially in terms of run support. We've also seen a pass rush despite not having proven talent there. I think the defense will be top half of the league, maybe 15th overall. That would be an absolutely huge improvement from last year.

I'm going with 5-11, which is about what the Vegas odds are. That would position Miami pretty well for one of the top qb's in the 2020 draft if Rosen isn't the guy.

Depends on the day. Some days I guess 7-8. Today? 5-6
