I give that ball a 50% chance of getting batted down if he goes to Miller just given the way the pocket was collapsing on the right side. Hartline plain dropped it. He killed that drive not Tannehill.
Good point! didnt notice that...I give that ball a 50% chance of getting batted down if he goes to Miller just given the way the pocket was collapsing on the right side. Hartline plain dropped it. He killed that drive not Tannehill.
Wrong again... No drop and a small gain.
Throw to the open rb. Much larger gain. Possible touchdown.
Must..... Excuse.... Tannehill.... At.... All..... Costs.....
TANNEHENNE ALL DONE IN 2014..... NAILED IT!
yeah its easy when looking at a replay multiple times... Got the ball out quick on the blitz? check! threw an accurate ball and hit the WR in both hands in stride? check! First down! Oh wait, the receiver dropped it... dang! Let me ask you this, if Tannehill takes a second more to go around his reads and gets sacked, will you blame him for holding it to long?
Makes sense, but there s no way to know without a doubt anyway. Bottom line, it should have been a 1st down anyway, the ball was there it was a safe throw for a 1st down against an all out blitz... And Tannehill is no Rivers...lol!The problem I have is if he knew it was a blitz then he should have known Miller was wide open. I watched the Chargers Bills game and a few times Rivers threw it to his outlet without even looking that way first. The color commentator, who I think used to be a QB mentioned it and remarked that shows how smart Rivers is, he could tell just from the pre-snap read that his outlet would always be open, and he could throw it there any time blind if he wanted.
For this particular play, I can't even fathom anyone blaming tannehill. It was a pass that hit his WR right in his hands. 100% of the blame is on hartline.
I am the captain of the Philbin Hater Fan Club. However, firing him will accomplish little. They must let it play out.
Lets take a look at Lamar Miller on this play!
