Salguero: The reason the Dolphins did nothing on Monday

The talk out of Miami is that Sherman may be gone. Bob Macadoo in GB QB coach.

Sherman should be gone as should the rest of this crap heap of a staff and the GM. Sherman had nothing to do with the inability to stop the run at all the past two weeks against two not very talented opponents

Ireland has had ample time to right this ship you cannot blame anyone for wanting to dump him and his 2013 offseason didn't do anything to change that.

Yes he did IMO, this past offseason was great on paper. He did what Philbin and co. wanted. Ross walked into the conference room with all the coaches present with Ireland and asked who would be the player in this draft with the biggest impact and they all said Jordan. Then Ireland went out and made that happen. People can poo poo that pick all day but how that went down with everyones approval was pretty damn good. Jury still out on Jordan and the rest of this draft, but we will certainly see these guys more next year.

The main problem here is this offense did not improve because of Sherman and his stubborness to be in shotgun most of the time. If you think about what RT was doing his first year with rollouts and bootlegs, the difference to this year is appalling.

certainly not going to dissagree. But it is proven that with high powered offenses, your defense can be avg.

Wheeler and Ellerbe are poosies.

Incredible that he didnt even consider the possibility that this team would fall short. Simply incredible.

You know, people on here love to slam other posters by calling them "armchair GM's" and some of us have pointed out that members of this forum have proven to be more consistently accurate then the people running this franchise. Anyone have any doubts about that now? Even if we didnt think it would happen, the vast majority of the people who post on this forum at least considered we might fall apart at the end. Didnt even occur to our bloody owner. Incredible.

You are responding to an article written by a media member that has no credibility and has knowingly provided falsie info to the fan base in the past. So lets slow down before calling out Ross for being "unprepared", because we really dont know what Ross is doing atm.

Just feels like he is being advised to wait until the league completes the investigation and the results are made public to avoid any possible legal issues. Its the only thing that makes sense to me.

That could very well be it right there. Findings come out, fire everyone, end of story. Ties it all up in one neat bundle.

We can only hope that there are some good replacements available when the time comes. Maybe Ross is ahead of the game on this as well? He might have come to this conclusion weeks ago and is quietly recruiting...God I hope so.

And remind me again who overpaid Ellerbee and Wheeler. In the end he chose part time college player Jordan to be our part time pro , he chose a bunch of non factors as draft picks and once again worked on his pet oline project that yielded the worst pass protection in Miami history

People keep missing the boat on Ireland. It's the totality of the talent record. It's not about having a good grade here or there. Tally up his A's thru F's, his moves are at best a C. At the very, very best. I'm being very generous.

To win Championships, we need a GM that makes B moves in totality or better. After 6 years, or even 3 as some folks like to argue, we have enough of a record to understand his capacities.

As for this coaching staff? They're a disaster.

I have my own business and I manage an energy company. I would never have employees this incompetent at any level.

And the defending of Ireland continues here. Why can't a few people not see what most of the people see? And that is that Ireland is NOT the rght guy for the job. He needs to go or be ready for more 8 and 8 seasons and more wasted money and picks.

Ozzy rules!!

Dlockz, look around the league. How many impact rookies are out there? I mean, the center for the Cowboys prob had bigger impact but what does a center for an 8-8 team mean? Not much to any fan.

Eh. They are far and few between now. Even some of the most ardent homers are coming around.

Doesn't really matter what he is doing atm. His football club is always a day late and a dollar short.

honestly, the fact that no move was made on Monday doesn't shock me or even bother me. If you actually followed each case of the HC getting fired they each had been building for sometime. Same with the GM for the Bucs getting fired. Everything I heard going back to Sunday also indicated that no decision was expected until after the New Year.

Im never a fan of drafting an injured guy who to me wasn't that big of stud in college with the third overall pick. I would have rather stood pat and got the same level of player at 12 plus keep the second round pick.

And once again, who is that person who consistently makes B moves who is available? And please dont tell me soninlaw Pioli. If anyone had listened to what this guy had to say at draft time, you would be wondering how the son in law got in the position he did. he is a son in law.

Just going to remind you. Jason Taylor wasnt that good his rookie year. yeah he was a third rounder from Akron. The kid is doing what is being asked of him. So this may be a good time to get back to Coyle and his defense.

The problem I have with with Ross if this story is accurate is after the bad loss to the Bills I as an owner would have begun talking about a new gm and coach or at least a new gm with my people, not wait until they completely blow it against the Jets.

Question: Are we any better or worse since he started some 6 years ago. If we are the same or worse he needs to go. If we are better keep him. I'd say we are not any better.
