Steelers Pick - The Gift That Keeps On Giving

I'm sure there are a few others. The point being if theres a decent chance that this kid will be okay then I don't know how you don't serious consider it as a Dolphins franchise that disperately needs a QB. Of course if you draft him them you better have serious plans in place to

1) Have a backup/starter while he recovers...say Fitzpatrick
2) Do everything you can to build the best OL you can in the next 2 season
3) Look to add a later development QB like Love or Hurts etc
All good points because this year, despite the injuries, he tossed 33 touchdown passes with only three interceptions. Those are Heisman-level numbers. He even threw for 418 yards and four touchdowns on a surgically repaired ankle against LSU last week. It's not a cut and dried scenario as some have posted.

It's not ideal..But these are those types of "opportunities" the Dolphins may have to finally draft a franchise changer.
Sometimes those opportunites don't come in pretty pink-bows and it takes some melons to see pass the obvious.

Lol, agreed. You forgot the cherry on top too! If they do take him, I like the 3rd or 4th round idea for another QB prospect. Where does J Hurts land if he keeps playing at a high level. That would be funny if the Phins took them both!

How about we trade the Steelers pick back to them for Rudolph the red nose reindeer?

No way we take 2 qbs and if Tua is medically sound no way he drops to third...we’ll have to give up the farm for Burrow or take another such as Herbert or grab a current player who will surely become available as they always do.

I absolutely hope this Organization is thinking along this line. This draft isn't about 1 QB but actually 2.
If there is ever a time to be able to commit to the position in that way it's now.
We have the resources..maximize on them.

Not unless you can change his me first, crybaby attitude.

The more you see how this team is coming together, particularly in the secondary, the more you understand why someone like Minkah would not have been happy here. This foundation, this NE philosophy, that Coach Flores and Co. are bring to this organization is the epitome of "team first." Doing things, playing in positions, that you're not necessarily the best at but for the "entire" scheme to maximize we need you there.

Minkah, essentially, told the organization I want to play where "i feel" i'm the best. Either put me there or change the entire scheme around to suit my talents and not the other way around.

This scheme, this philosophy, doesn't need players like that.

amazing how there hasn’t been a peep of any of that to date in Pittsburgh.

truly amazing.
Crybabies stop when they get their way, for a while at least.

Look, I think he is a very good player, but for whatever reason, he wanted out. It doesn't mean he's a pariah, or a bad person.

The best thing for both parties was to accommodate his wishes.

Lol, Did he really ask that question?
Lol, Like really?

Minkah is the definition of an "opportunist" type of player.
He wants to sit back in the deep secondary, don't get his hands dirty, and live off everyone else's effort.

Honestly, name ONE play that Minkah has made with his own hands sinces he's been in Pittsburgh?
Every "play" Minkah has made has been built off everyone elses hard work and he sit back and capitlize off it, raises his hands like "Look what I did!" Lol

As a matter of fact, when Minkah, has had to get his hand dirty he's gotten ran over.

I can see both sides from a fans perspective on the situation. @hoops , unlike some blowhards is very knowledgeable, and has his own take.

It seems to me though, that the arguement that he isn't making waves there just reinforces the point that it wasn't about the team winning, as Pit is not doing much more winning than we are.

It was about him, and his immediate success. That mindset is not going to fly here, certainly not from a second year player.

His mama defending him on twatter is a whole other kettle of fish, but does say something about the psychology of his environment.
