Taking being a "FAN" too far

I don't see anything wrong with it if that was what he wanted, but me personally well it strikes me as alittle creepy.I've been a Dolphin fan for 33yrs.(I was 8) and I definitly don't want to be buried with any of my Phin "stuff".Btw tatoos don't count they're on your body.

Hah, oh boy. When I saw that picture I burst out laughing. Does that make me a bad person?

on ESPN radio this morning they talked about this story. The guy said when he dies he wants to be laid out on a velvet couch, with a fist full of dollar bills, and a young lady in a thong grinding her genitals on his dead body. Hey everyone has their own thing!

I betta that they had one HELL of a highlight reel going there. Lynn Swann, Franco Harris, John Stallworth, Mike Webster, Terry Bradshaw, Mean Joe Green, and 4 unbelievable Superbowls. Gad I loved it when they crushed Landry and the Cowboys. Man I respected that cowboys team, but I did not like them.

That's my point. Being passioate is one thing. I got no problem with passion. Being laid out in a funeral home on a recliner, with a TV, a remote in your hand with beer and cigs on a table next to you is another.
That wasnt his choice was it?

Im not sure if he planned this before he went or if it was his wifes idea nad he had say in the matter.

To each their own. NOBODY has the right to not give the guy what he wants when he dies. We really shouldn't even be judging it IMHO.

OMG that is so pimp. Now that I've seen it, I can appreciate it. I was picturing Abe Vigoda in his pajamas sitting upright, with either his eyes wide open or his head tilted back and to the right like he was passed out. This is so much better than that!!

That family is ahead of its time.

Even more pimp. :rofl3:

I read somewhere he had known he was dying for a while and that he planned it out, sorry i read it a few days ago so i dont have a link.

now we're talking! :D:D

I think there is an age for everything ....a man in his 30's 40's should'nt be so close minded ....at 20 it´s understandable to be such a fanatic ....i remember destroying a b&w TV after the chargers dolphins EPIC game ..... jajaja ....

im gobsmacked!!! i wont comment cos i dont know how to to that??

Viewing are supposed to be a celebration of the deceased's life. Why not celebrate the fact he was a die hard Steelers fan. From the article, it seemed that the family had an eaiser time coping seeing him this way then in a coffin. Where's the harm in that?

Maybe that's how he wanted to be remembered? Who know's?? But I wouldn't make judgements on someone I never knew. Pennsylvania is football at every level...high school, college, and pro....and in some way I'm not as suprised by this as maybe some others would be. At least the Steelers won a superbowl while he was still alive!
