Tale of two Fitzpatricks.

He asked to be traded because we refused to play him where he best fit. Hell, his FREAKIN MOTHER complained about it in the offseason.

Trading a perennial pro bowler for what will be a 10-15 pick (most likely) is not good. It could work, if we hit on our mid first rounder. Who knows though. I would rather have the sure thing.
Perennial pro bowler?

Fitzpatrick doesn't have the range to play free safety. He's a staring free safety on a bum 3-4 team. The pick is better value for what type of scheme Flores wants to run

How are the Steelers a bum team? First of all, Steelers do not tank, they are not criminal tankers and bums.
Second, Steelers played tight games that went down to the wire against Seahawks, Niners and Rivers. They lost all three games, due to shooting themselves in the foot in the first quarter of each game. It's been that kind of season for the Steelers. But in spite of the slow start, in each game Steelers were very competitive and had chance to beat the Niners, Ravens, and the Seahawks. And they 3-4.

Minkah is better than our free safety...

Who knows...he may have been in position to make a tackle on that jailhouse blitz at the end of the half.

So we are criminal team now?

Wow!

Minkah was always a good player. He looked real good his rookie year. Then we screwed the whole thing up by ducking with him. And for the record he had 1 bad game this year - Baltimore. Then again so did everyone on the defense. As someone said earlier, you don’t trade a low, proven 1st round pick for a mid one. Not a good formula. The FO was too busy self congratulating themselves after the Tunsil swindle that they let it go too far. A guy has a 2 pick game and we are down playing the deed. You have to be in position to make those plays. He’s got 3 on the year and 2 FR. He is amassing pro bowl numbers whether you believe in the pro bowl or not. Unreal the rationalization that’s going on. As to those who say “he wanted to leave” - it should have never come to that. Unless they are idiots who 1 year after saying “I can’t believe Minkah fell to us” turn around and decide he can’t play after a very good rookie year. As for the other Fitzpatrick, as w Jay Cutler, I find him utterly unwatchable.

That interception on 3rd and long is the exact type of play that good qbs should make. A 53 yard punt which if lucky gets completed or a pass interference. That is the play Tannehill/Gase would never make because they are more concerned with their stats that helping the team win.

And totally fired up their D and changed momentum...so it isn't
