Thank you Wes Welker

Pretty bad pass by Brady too. Dude was 0-5 throwing for 20 or more yards. How many deep throws did Eli put right on the money. Eli Manning > Tom Brady as a quarterback. No doubt in my mind.

lol

LOL!! Riiiiiiight. You've been an NFL WR who played in the Super Bowl? I mean, that's what you said. "I've done it before". hahaha

That pass was bad. Not many NFL WR, in that spot, catch that ball.

nope, ive never played in the NFL but still....... pretty sure that if they tried that exact same play 10 more times, welker catches all 10.

it's not hard. he was wide open.

fluke drop.

okay i'm confused. You keep saying 2nd round pick for a wr that drops balls when it matters. Whats i want to know is are we talking about wes welker, or brandon marshall?

It was a bad pass. Looks like lots of people need glasses or need to watch a whole lot more football before they start pointing fingers.

Welker had to jump backwards and completely twist his body around just to get his hands on the ball. If it was a good pass they score.

I can understand Brady's wife having absolutely no perspective but not everyone else.

dude, the ball was there.

welker had it. turning and twisting your body real quick in mid air is not hard. 99% of all nfl, college, and probably even high school WR's can do it.

it was a fluke drop by welker, but it was not brady's fault. the ball was there.

the pass was fine...welker makes that catch all ****ing day long...brady knows what he has in welker, he knows welker comes down with that...it's what makes wes welker wes welker

brady is a great qb...the pats team is weak this year and he carried them to the flippin super bowl

we paid 2 #2's for our pass dropping wr

I'd make the trade again today though...marshall is awesome

Marshall is awesome. We agree on that. I just want a little more consistancy. Just for the record we got a 2 and a 5 out of welker.

I thought I was watching a CFL game from the mistakes in the last few minutes begining with Wes "porn star" Welker who dropped what for him is a very catchable ball albeit for Marshall a circus catch - seriously no one can pin this loss on Brady while Hernandez and Co. were dropping balls

Marty Shot getting rid of Welker for nothing was indeed one of the worst moves he ever made....but trading away Welker for a 2nd round pick is as good as it gets.
Yes, and that's a pretty good indicator that he does not suck. I prefer to call them as they are and Welker is a fantastic football player. It's funny how people cut up his hands when he has massive amounts of catches each year. Get real people. But yes nothing wrong with what we got for him.

Good thing we traded him for a second round pick. He seems to drop passes when it counts ...how do you drop a pass that wide open?

Funny how some fin fans thought we got ripped off

Why the hate......he was traded by our incompetent coach.

even though I can't stand the patriots...That was a pretty difficult catch actually, the way he had to contort his back and twist it like that in mid air and even if he does catch it in mid air to hold on to it when falling down, possibly ackwardly on his arms or shoulder twisting like that..its hard to hold on to when falling to the ground even if caught in mid air. The guy has made big catces for the pats though and it happens. Brady isnt gettting any blame. sure the passes arent going to be perfect and thats true but welker was wide open..there shouldve definitely been a better throw for as open as welker was and not have a throw that forces him to have to twist and jump when the ball shouldve just went to him. The way the ball was thrown was like a pass thrown to a bigger guy..maybe brady got used to throwing to gronkoski..welker is 5'9,,the pass looks like it was one that goes to one like gronk where the ball mighve been at the height that gronk would just turn and not have to jump and twist for a guy his hiehgt and size.

yeah he was wider open..certaily the ball shoulnt have been thrown like that...trying to maintain the ball while turning like that and fall awkardly on the ground..many WRs actually drop the ball once they crash to the ground in the nfl..ive seen it...welker is a pro so he shouldve caught it because hes good enought to do it..but lets not keep brady...i know hes a king to some people here but for as open as welker was that pass shouldve been much better..it wasnt like welker was in tight coverage and he had to throw it like that to get it to him...there was a gap that he couldve just thrown right to welker and to the right side

How did this thread go from Welker choked to Welker sucks. These are two totally different things. Welker us one of the best Wr's in football, no doubt, I'd take him on my team any day. But in that moment, the biggest of his career, he choked. It is not idiotic to sat this, it's the truth. The NE media is killing him for that Drop and rightly so. A pro NFL WR should catch anything he gets both hands on.

He didn't choke. Welker, who is 5'9", was given a pass intended for a guy 6'4" and facing the opposite direction. That pass was more difficult to catch than the one Manningham made in this game. Manningham's pass hit him right in the hands in full stride. Great catch, no doubt, but not as difficult to catch as the duck Brady threw up.

Yes he was wide open. So why did Brady make such a bad throw? Again, Welker usually makes those difficult catches. However, the pass was bad and most of the blame falls on Brady's shoulders.
