Todd McShay - "Andrew Luck's best fit would be in MIAMI

Why would the Colts give up the #1 pick and pass on Luck? It's PERFECT for them to draft him. Let Peyton groom him until he's done, Andrew Luck takes over, boom.. another 10+ years of success.

Ross wont get rid of Ireland, meaning we wont be able to get Cowher (he wants his own GM), and meaning we will end up drafting hte best lineman available with our pick.

"With the #1 pick in the 2012 draft the Miami Dolphins select Cornfed Lineman from Cornfed State"

I would do it . . . but some in Indy may feel like they could package with a team like Miami . . . get a top 10 pick still, get a first round pick the following year and then get a nice package of players. Colts still can win with Peyton Manning, he is still a top 5 QB in the league . . . Luck is ready to lead now. I think Indy would take the package if it was enticing enough but I do think they wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger on Luck if the deal isn't good enough.

Wouldn't it be something if Miami kept Ireland, traded for the #1 pick and they went Kalil
as much as it would scar me for years, and all my other finheaven nation members, this forum would be a site to see if that happened.

i rather not see it though.

the only way imo we get Andrew luck is if the panthers get the 1st overall pick. However despite them being 0-2 so far, they have looked a lot better than i thought they would, and although i dont see them finishing 500 or anything like that, they deff imo wont end up finishing poor enough to warrant the 1st overall pick in the 2012 draft.

I think the Ginn over Quinn reaction would be a thing of the past if it happened.

I'd hope they'd be willing to deal.. but it seems like that team is just too awful all around to pass on the one thing that makes them legitimate.. a QB, which they'll be searching for in a few years if they don't get Luck. To me it makes more sense to take Luck, and then grab the players in the next few drafts that make you a good team even if the QB goes down.

ya, nothing would even compare.

when we took ginn over quinn, im being honest here, and im not just saying it because how he turned out, but i was never a fan of brady quinn. didnt think he would be anything in this league. not saying ginn was a good pick, as u dont take a guy whose specialty is punt returning and kickoffs in the top 10, especially when you have more glaring needs.

but just imagine, we sit here today in an nfl where you ''MUST'' have a very good to great qb to succeed these days, its an obvious glaring need we have had since marino left, and we had the option to take luck, and we passed on him? this site would prob be shutdown bc all the members will have suffered heartattacks.

Let it go already......

If it wasn't for bad "Luck" the fins would have NO "Luck" at all....

There will be no LUCK in Miami

I honestly think Ireland would not be safe in Miami if this happened. Seriously.

i do like me some kalil no question about that...but god no...not over luck or barkley...i think i'll drink gasoline if we go that route on draft day...kalil looks like a left tackle to me in the pros anyways

Yea and they would switch Jake to the right side and have clearly the best RT in the game and a road grader on that side who can hold up in pass protection. (Not saying I want this at all) Can you imagine Tony Sparanos excitement from his coach.

i'd be more worried about jake longs long term ability to play football...there's something going on there under the scenes that we don't know about...jakes not right...we could be having a boselli like situation here

and if we do we can all thank sparano and company for playing him with a torn labrum for god knows what reason or for putting him out there in the 4th preseason game last year against the boys 3rd stringers...what dumb crap we do i swear

its either his shoulder or his knee but something is DEFINITELY not right...i'm really worried it could be some kind of degenerative thing
