I like Toub for what his peers say about him, his units excel year in and year out, he is a former strength and conditioning coach who stresses discipline, and as a ST coach he touches all areas of the team at once. He also takes young players and molds them into a player.
My concerns are putting together a staff, is he going to run the West Coast offense, and general lack of experience as a head man.
There are good candidates out there, but something about Philbin I'm not a fan of (not that he doesn't call plays, your HC normally won't either), something else I'm not seeing there. I guess my top two would be Zimmer and Toub. I think Zimmer's persona wears out more quickly than Toub's does, so I lean that direction.
Will be interesting to see how it turns out now.
