Seriously, the question is why is our deal with Tua taking so long, which side is digging in?

It might be about framework for the deal. Could be guarantees, roster bonuses, and timelines. It's not always about total loot.

The Dolphins need to sign Tua ASAP. Because if a very average QB like Lawrence is getting $55 million a year, the Dolphins will have to sign Tua for $60 million a year if they continue to wait on signing him.

I'm not sure about that. Most would have Mahomes, Allen, Jackson and Burrow in the top 4. Herbert might get some votes for the 5th spot, but so would Herbert, Tua and Stroud. And those are just the AFC qbs.

Based on their play on the field I would say Tua deserves just as much money as Lawrence.

The jags were smart to get this done now. I expected Lawrence to make a big leap this year. If he balls out this year then this deal would be way higher this time next year.

The market value is what it is. If Tua had some gritty wins under his belt that mattered no one would think twice but that coupled with he's one good hit away from retiring makes me feel uneasy. Oh well, Ross has the money do we really need Tua to be the center of more drama not worth it.
