Tuas gonna....

A) Hold out

B) Demand a trade

C) Play this season on his rookie deal and then get tagged, while demanding a trade

D) Dolphins cave and pay him

My money is on C

This is not good. As Grier is a Tua guy, could Steve Ross now be a FORMER Tua guy? A while back, Ross joked about his FO trading for Rosen… on a national pod cast. One would think McD would be working forcefully to get it done.

These are all excellent.. if painful choices. Good work. If I was Tua, I’d hold out. He has cause. But I think C is the end result.

If Tua decides to sit out the year what are the Dolphins going to do?

After tag players 2 time and u don't want give him deal. He should be able walk free

He better not hold out this year. ****ing guy will make 25 mil this year... thats not chump change. I don't care what others are making right now. He's better off holding us hostage next year

They pretty much do/can. That’s the way Kirk Cousins forced himself out of Washington.

From cbs:
“Each time he is tagged, the tag value goes up. A player being tagged for the second consecutive season is paid 120% of his previous year's salary. A player tagged for a third year in a row receives 120% of the average of the five highest-paid players at his position, 144% of his previous year's salary, or the average of the five highest-paid position players in the league, whichever is highest. ”

As a theoretical, if the qb tag value is $50m next year, and we tag him again, he will get at least $60m. And if we tag him a third time, he will get at least $86.4m.

The question is: is Tua confident he can stay completely healthy long enough to force himself out?

Personally, I don’t believe a word coming out right now. It’s a dead news time in the NFL and people have to fill space.
