So was Mac Jones, and the receivers Tua had at Bama...don't get me started. It's fine that Tua is a great point guard who excels with supremely talented and FAST wr's, but he needs those things to make him who he is statistically. That's why Grier traded up for Waddle and traded for Reek, very wise to maximize Tua's skill set.

Take away Tyreek and you take away the true threat of this offense. Tua doesn't appear to be a guy that can win big with anything less than supreme talent at WR which is fine, but he needs to be paid less as a result or this whole thing will not work out. Allen for example, needs less offensive talent around him to be successful, because HE is more talented and a better QB than Tua like MANY others in the NFL. That's just reality and not everyone can deal with it, especially around here.

Grier didn't trade up for Waddle, he traded down for Waddle.

Also, just curious. Tuas rookie season. Can you name all the WRS he played with that are still in the NFL? I'll make it simple, as you only have 1 name to find.

I see a pattern in your thinking, and on paper it makes alot of sense. But outside of on paper, there are many things you need to consider.

One of which is this philosophy that the Fins are trying to promote that if they come here, they will be rewarded for their commitment. It's already paying off with the absurd deals they got in this FA period.

If they start playing hard ball with everyone out of nowwhere, which they absolutely have the right to, then you can also kiss those FA deals goodbye. Every decision you make has pros and cons.
We should not have to overpay players to come to Miami

I am sorry.... I mean be fair with the players and pay them.... But this overpaying them to come to Miami has got to stop

They kept reworking the contract for Howard so his fragile ego would not be bruised.

And in the end we get next to nothing for it. At the end he was a broken player who could not even come close to earning his salary. When he left we were stuck with a horrible dead cap situation.

When the players sign a 4 or 5 year deal and get hurt we are still on the hook for the guaranteed money... So it is only fair that after the guaranteed money runs out that they finish out and play through to the end of their contract. No need to give raises yearly or guarantee more money.

Hill will be what 32 when his contract ends... We can evaluate him at that time. Look at the market and see if he is still elite. No need to add years to the deal and to increase his salary so that there could be a situation where he is 32/33 making 35 million per... And he has lost a step. We cannot trade him and if we cut him we are in cap hell because his contract is guaranteed.

No Thank You.

Incorrect. He traded up for Waddle,
after trading down from 3 to 12. Mack Hollins. What’s your point?

No you are incorrect.

It's already been established that Grier would NOT have traded down to 12 if he did not have the deal in place to trade back up to 6.

This is something some conveniently forget.

Also, you want to knock Tua for having Hill. Some of you make Hill out to e some ungodly WR that is a mythical beast.

So my point is simple. You seem to discredit Tua for having Hill. But want to bury him when he had one of the leagues worst o lines in the game and zero help at the WR position.

So which is it? Is a QB supposed to be graded based on the talent he has or not? Does this standard apply to every other QB in the league? Or just Tua?

I’d be surprised if Tua plays without signing a new contract. He is in the best position right now to get a mega deal. If he plays, he only puts himself at risk of lowering his value. When I saw that damn Trevor deal, I knew we were screwed! If I was in Grier’s position, I am bringing in a veteran QB that can be ready to play because the QBs that we have backing up Tua are pure trash.

Whatever happens with Tua, they better not mess around with Tyreek and his contract. Teams fear Tyreek the way teams like us fear Josh Allen, those are the guys you pay and don't think twice about it. Without Tyreek, Tua is nothing special and everyone outside of finheaven knows it.

What a disappointing and completely untrue post from you.
