We will finish last in the east !!!

That's one way to look at things, but I choose to look at the glass being half full and not half empty.

I look at this team not as it was in 2004, but as the 10 win team of 2003. Overall we are as good or better than the 2003 team, subtract points for DB's and for new coaching, and I think we'll have a 9-7 season. Not bottom of the barrel, but not top of the division either.
that kinda sucks because were gonna have to wheel and deal to get a higher pick next year so we can get a decent qb

What team are you a fan of? It sure isnt MIAMI.
We are a hundred times better than last year and if you think we will be in last place this year you need to jump on the New England Bandwagon

I'm a huge fan I've had a tatoo for 10 years now. I love and want the Dolphins to do well. However, we still have alot of work to do. My expectations for this season are low. It doesn't mean I won't watch every play of every game even if were 20 pts down. We will progress but I think we need a couple years to contend.

thank you Willis for proving my point, how many did Miami win by 10 points last year?

Yea st. louis fan problably said that in 99.... any team can come from no where dude and that includes us, you could be right and you most surely could be fracking wrong.. but thanks for your :2c:

The fact that St Louis is your example only further strenghtens my point. Does it happen ? The answer is yes, ofcourse. The real questions is how likely is it ? I hope for the best. If you guys dont want to deal with the truth, don't. But we'll see. I'm not negative I'm being honest with myself, and eliminating emotion from the equation.

Well, if you're trying to develop credibility with the negative nannies around here, you certainly are doing so.

The odd thing is, I've said myself, around 7-9 to 9-7 is probably pretty realistic. That MIGHT be last in the afc east. But you're proclaiming it with such, seeming ...., I dunno, joy? gusto? You can't help if people wonder if you're a Bills troll or one of those kinds of fans who loves to hate everything about our own team so as to shield themselves from disappointment (there are a lot of those).

Amazing how people like you can state hypothesis as fact...then say we arent being "real"...The only real way to tell how the Finz are gonna do is PLAY.But if you are a fan you are at least optimistic!

And that may work for you. For many of us, TC has just begun and we're pumped. We like to have a little emotion. I think deep down most of us are aware of the reality of the situation, but now is the time to dream before the season starts and we're brought back to reality.

It's sad when a poster can't give his assessment without getting creamed. If his opinion of the team is what he has it at, then that's his opinion, you can disagree with the guy, but to call him names, saying he's not a fan is rediculous, where did we get some of you anyway? We used to be able to debate on this board without stupping so low, did we pick up some of the posters we've heard about at other phin boards? Go back. We want real fans who can disagree with respect..I've read a couple of these threads and have been silent, but this is getting out of hand and uncalled for. No wonder some of the good posters are checking in and out, but don't post. We should be able to look at our team as fans and also be objective in our assessments, that's the true value of having a board to talk phin football, pros and cons...when we have to just talk all pros and close our minds to the cons, then we cease being fans, just stupid, blind followers, with nothing to say. This board's strength has always been it's ability to debate our strenght and weaknesses on this team and to debate other team's fan within that context.

I think this team will be much improved but I doubt it will be enough to climb out of the cellar. We have toughest schedule for one. I think too many people are expecting that Hudson Hauck can turn our bumbs into great o lineman (fairytale # 1) Secondly, we have major issues in the secondary. Once again many people think we wont feel the absense of Surtain (fairytale # 2). I think most of you forget we were 31st against the run last year. Some people think Carter and our cast of has beens, never weres, and a rookie will make us a force upfront (fairytale # 3). This is not to mention our problems are qb, and our issues with McMicheal. I think it is irresponsible to be expecting a winning season. These problems will not magically go away. I think saban will be a great coach but these aren't his players and he cant make them more talented than they are.

Every team in the division has issues. No one knows whats going to happen in the NFL from one season to the next. Look at the Chargers last year. Save your doomsday rant for Bills and Jets boards. I expect us to be better this year. A lot better. Division champs? No. Wild Card? No. But in this league, anything is possible.

Take some negativity somewhere else. Your bringing everybody down. Keep those comments to yourself, its your own opinion.

so b/c he doesnt think the fins will do well he is a "troll" and and not a fins fans? i think the fins will land in 3rd place but prolly last...i mean i hope i'm wrong but its just looking at it realistically...so i guess i'm a troll too and not a fins fan either? smh

I assume full responsibility should my dreams become shattered while in my custody.

Whooo hoooo.....we're gonna win....we're gonna win.....bet you just hate seeing a dolphin fan act so irresponsible.
