What is the difference between the Dolphins and Jets?

uh, reggie is not a vet? and more years on a RB doesnt neccessarily make for better. Im just waiting for LT to get his ussual ankle or foot prob.

Both LT and Shonn Green have proven they could carry offenses. Our combo has not. I said our combo has talent, but both of these guys need to do things they have not proven they could do.

Satts never tell the whole story.

henne's running game was very similar to Sanchez's running game and considering LT wasn't good from about week 6 or 7 on we didn't have a great ground game most of the year.

You and I know very well that the average per run on both team is about 1 yard more for the Jets per run, that is a big difference. Your team may have had bad games where the was no running game, but for the Dolphins, there was no running game the entire season.

We lost Mangold for the 2nd half against NE, we lost Damien Woody late in the year and in postseason again

Long was hurt all season, Carrey was nowhere the same all year, and we had players inured in and out all season at the Guard and Center positions.

Henne threw the ball nice and soft for defenders to catch so he didn't have a problem w/ dropped INTs

Actually, not true,in some of this INTs, he threw pretty hard, and considering he has a much powerful arm then Sanchez, it's still big difference. Sanchez just lucked out bigtime.

You can have your rating, those of us w/ eyes can see Sanchez was significantly better a year ago.

No, just those of you that don't want to see the truth, or to lazy to try and see what each actually did (and and why) will believe that. Like I said, I watched both play last year, Henne's big thing was he was inconsistant game to game, Sanchez was inconsistant play to play.

Not knocking Sanchez, he has looked good this pre-season, but he was anything but good in both regular seasons.

So bitter and childish. When you take away your 2008 div title we'll take away our 2009 run to the title game.

We have won 6 more games in the reg season and 10 ttoal inclduing postseason in the last 2 years.

We are AHEAD of the Pats the last 2 years and on their level going into 2010. Did you miss the time we manhandled them in their building in the div rd earlier this year?

I have already acknowledged that you've had more success that us in the W/L column? You want me to bake you a cake? That does not prove that you have a better roster or team. It proves a couple of things, you have solid coaching(ours has been questionable at best.) You have been more fortunate, especially in regards to drawing of schedule, and you were able to get hot at the appropriate time, something really, any halfway decent team is capable of.

Where do you get your #s from?

LT & Greene: 404-1680 yds, 4.16 YPC
Ricky & Ronnie: 359-1407 yds, 3.92 YPC

A difference of a little over .2 YPC, not much difference.

Mangold played hurt most of the year, Moore had serious surgery after the year, no excuses about your OL.

Should we take away the 2 INts aginst GB that snahcez was awarded that he shouldn't have been? do we count the dropped passes and TDs? when we start doing that we will start counting dropped INTs.

He was up and down as a rookie, he was good last reg season.

Of course it proves we have the better team and roster, how else do you determine it?

20-12, 2 playoff apps, 4 playoff wins, 2 title game apps
vs.
14-18, never in playoff contention

I think that proves who is better, right?

Now the sched is the excuse?:lol2: We play the same teams so cut tha nonsense out.

Where do you get your #s from?

Way to continue to spin it as we all know you can, but we all know (Including you) that that is wrong, here....

And yet we've won 5 of the last 6 against you. Go figure.

Despite having more total wins each season, you have nothing to show for it. No division championship. No AFC championship, no nothin. Sit on that egg til it hatches and then realize your a Jet fan, life will always suck, even when there is the illusion of good.

This is where it helps to know what you are talking about rather than just posting stats. Our rush #s are skewed b/c of reverses and WC runs, that's not our run game. Our run game is Greene and LT and yours was Ricky/Ronnie.

4 of the last 5 not 5 of the last 6 and it's 4 of the last 6, 4 of the last 7, 4 of the last 8, 4 of the last 9, 4 of the last 10.

Which is better? winning a div but losing your first playoff game at home or getting a WC berth and winning 2 playoff games t play for the right to go to the SB?

yes it sucks having a SB contender every year, I wih my team was 7-9 and hasn't been to a title game in nearly 20 years.

By the way, my life is pretty good and whether the Jets win or lose doesn't change that.

You need to stop this nonsense.. last season was legitimate, but the only reason you were not at best 8-8 (and you could have been cause Cinci was a dead team walking even before the playoffs) the prior year..and watching from the stands is because Caldwell and Polian were so unconcerned about them that they allowed the jest to progress. Making the playoffs in 09 deserves an asterisk.. and that's all. You want to talk about final standings? Even without the charity, you still had to sneak in the back door! The charity was so egregious in fact that the league revised their philosophy on who meets who in late season games. Factually, we were both 7-7 teams although we didn't lose 6 out of 7 at one point and if we had played Cinci and Indy, we'd have been in the playoffs.. not you. You were appreciably better last season, we were even teams the in 09 and we look evenly matched this year.....So just cut the **** already.

He asked why Rex was 1-3 against Miami, so I answered him.

But anyway ... the last part of your post is laughable.
You can talk all day as if the Colts and Bengals would have beaten us ... but they didn't.
The way I remember it, all you needed to do was win two of your last three games that year ... but Tennessee, Houston, and Pittsburgh (3 non-playoff teams) all beat you. And the last two games were at home. Bye-Bye Playoffs. Nobody to blame but yourselves so please stop crying about charity and backing in. if you were good enough to be in the playoffs you would have been there. You weren't ... so you weren't.

Going back to my original post ... The Dolphins and Jets are not evenly matched.
The rest of the world doesn't see it that way, and I was simply pointing out that "evenly matched" teams don't have odds of 8-1 to win the superbowl vs. 40-1.

Why do you suppose that is? Because the Jets have the edge in coaching??
The Jets are the more talented team with the higher expectations. That's the way the rest of the country outside of Dade County sees it.

So bitter and childish. When you take away your 2008 div title we'll take away our 2009 run to the title game.

Shirley you jest senor spinmeister. Although we didn't do well in the playoffs (but then again we didn't face the Bengals team you did in 09), we actually got in the old way: we earned it! We orchestrated the greatest turnaround in the history of the league and won a division where 3 teams were over .500. No Brady? Well, Cassell didn't do so badly, did he? (can you say "system"?). Compare that to you sneaking in when a dead team wallking, the Bengals and a complicit team who wasn't worried about facing you in the playoffs both took knees after you went 7-7 at one point losing 6 out of 7 and beating teams that were actually playing at a sub .300 winning percentage at the time you faced them. No.. that was charity..so blatant that the league revised their scheduling philosophy to make it less likely that undeserving mediocre teams to step in that kind of **** again... Please come back when you actually do win a division title.]

Talk about being bitter and childish..sheeesh.

Yeah, Curtis Painter with his 2 game 9QBR was the ticket... for sure. Payton showed by scoring what, was it, 24 unanswered points in the last 31 mins of the playoff game, that if they cared about that 1st game, they'd have trounced you and you'd have been sitting home at best an .500 team. So please peddle your spin in the TGG amen corner..

You played 5-6 dead teams to end the season to get in, we play a qtr and a half vs. Indy backups- you had the much easier road.

Miami did earn it as did the jets but if you are going to posts that nonsense then you have to apply it to your team as well and the lone bright spot for your team in the last decade would be tainted- according to your standards.

I, sir, live outside Dade County, and I only agree that your team has higher expectations. (I just wanted to point out another of your opinions that is false.)

speaking of "tainted":....hey, at least you got further in the playoffs than that illegitimate 2 game SB* post season - I'll give you that. :idk:
