What is your greatest draft day fear?

Jordan Love would be a disaster here. Not just because he's a mediocre quarterback, but because he's going to need a lot of development if he's ever going to be an NFL player. He's going to need to go to a team that has some pieces around him to help him succeed and ease him in. Miami is not that team. We're rebuilding and we need a QB that can start sooner rather than later. Banking your rebuild on such a risky prospect is a recipe for disaster.

Isnt Fitzpatrick a sort of coach by default? He is a bridge to the next guy but can easily pass some of that Harvard knowledge to a guy like Love or Herbert with athletic skills.

Trading up. Losing our stockpile of picks and Tunsil, Fitzpatrick just to trade up.

We have more holes than just qb.

All these young rookie qb going need help in beginning..doesn't mean love is going fail..if he fail and we dont have winning record by yr 4....flores and Grier will be fired and next coach will pick qb again...

Trading up for a boat load of picks (and being overly aggressive because they have a lot of picks) and reaching for players to fill needs rather than getting the BPA.

My biggest fear is that Grier is not the right GM to conduct this rebuilt and he screws up the draft and free agency and the Dolphins continue to be nothing but a mediocre teams for the next decade.

Hopefully Grier has learned from all the mistakes the Dolphins have made in the draft and in free agency signings in the 20 years he has been with the organization.

We trade up to 3, days before the draft...Chargers trade up to 2 for Tua, day of

and we get Chase Young and possibly Jordan Love? Or trade back to a team that wants Young and come out with more picks in 2021? That scenario does not worry me at all.

The we need a qb crowd no matter what crowd gets their way. Yes we need a qb but if our guy isn’t there, reaching and drafting someone just because we need a qb is how you get a Tannehill and set your franchise back a decade.

I get it! But to say it's a "total disaster" is crazy talk.
These drafts aren't some sure fire, can't be wrong, thing.
They're lottery tickets...that's all.

It could end up being disasters but it could end up being solid too.

ok that’s fair but think about the last 4 times the dolphins have been to the playoffs. yes it’s only been 4 times since marino retired.

they had a good oline and a good to great dline each time. must must must prioritize early picks on the line.

Is that they make a bad trade just to gain more picks, like sending Devante Parker to the Bears for 4th and 7th round pick.

Grier, by himself, can't screw up the dract

Stockpiling those picks was done exactly for this scenario. They wanted the resources available in case they had to move up for their QB. I do not understand why people can't see that. Even if they trade away what some people would consider "a lot" of picks to move up, Miami would still have more than the normal allotted draft picks over the next two drafts and an enormous amount of cap space to fill all of their so called "holes".
