Who Noticed Charles Harris Was Inactive Today?

Didn’t we pass on TJ Watt for him lmfao. Oh Grier

While, it may be fun to belittle Harris now, he WAS a consensus first round pick. Don't let anyone tell you that he wasn't.

Here is one of the typical pre-draft reviews of Harris.

Bottom Line

Harris has a floor of a third down, pass rushing specialist in the NFL. He is almost certainly going to be a sack master with his ability to burst off of the ball, pin his ears back and chase down the quarterback.

He tends to get up when defending the run, and has some issues in setting the edge. His playing strength will be a major question as well. However, his body type gives him the ability to gain weight, and become a well-rounded, powerful rusher to go with his great jump.

The ceiling for Harris is a Pro Bowl player, and given the track record of Missouri pass rushers, and his higher floor than others, he is almost certainly going to find himself in the first round. The rawness and the lack of complete overall game may drag him below the top ten, but in the middle of the first round, someone is going to find a great value pick with a great pass rusher in Charles Harri
s.

There are many more like this. It didn't work out, but for honesty's sake, please try to remember that he was well thought of by most of the services. They ALL had him as a #1.

I noticed that Finheaven members never get tired of beating a dead horse or relying on old, worn-out "jokes" about players.

Based on the score of the game and how the defense was unable to stop the Giants in the second half, it appears the coaches didn’t plan effectively for the Giants strengths and weaknesses. It certainly appeared several of their active players should be doing some else beside playing in the NFL.

Ah the cynic is always on time.

But, but, but...GRIER!

That's a Hell of a positive spin on Harris, and most of the rest read the same way.

Now... compare the way this was written and compare it to this year's crop. The same breathy nonsense about what is gonna happen in the 2020 season.

Was so pissed we drafted him over TJ Watt, people forget that siblings train with each other, im sure JJ Watt had so much to do with his development.

This year i wanted Jeffery Simmons over Wilkins, the jury is still out.

Also I badly wanted to draft both A.J Brown and D.K Metcalf but everyone roasted me for suggesting that now look at them both now.

A.J Brown reminded me so much of Chambers, god i miss him.

None of these edge guys can win with any consistency vs a tackle.

none of them

Only difference is all those other teams who picked ahead of us decided not to take him. We did.

Sounds like you're in the wrong job.

Consensus 1st rounders don't put up combine numbers like that at 6'3" 250. That alone should've dropped him to at least the 3rd. I had him and Taco as 5ths that year. Couldn't believe we drafted him that high.

You can't have paid attention to the fins drafts the past 20 years and simultaneously be excited that Grier is about to have control over the (arguably) 2 most important off seasons in team history. We'll either be competitive again (like we were under real owners) or be a perpetual laughing stock a la the Browns (like we have been with Ross). It would be wise to cut ties with him now so someone capable has ample time to make the right decisions.

There was a healthy amount of members around here that had TJwatt red flagged bc he only did it for one year and wasn’t a “scheme fit”

they also loved the Harris pick bc of his character

Tjs not playing any 43 end in Pittsburgh. Every once in a while he puts a hand in the dirt but that’s about it. maybe 4 point on obvious run downs

I'm guilty of both. Thought TJ was getting hyped up because of big bro. Had him a hell of a lot higher than a 5th though.
