Check your math (empty backfield)...... Just sayin.......How do you line up, two TE set with three wr set.
I didn't know dolphins got the examption to have 12 men on the field? Lol
Empty backfield as your base set?Check your math (empty backfield)...... Just sayin.......
Besides that, Flo has made the point (more than once) that he doesn't see things as simple positions. He looks at spots (areas) of the field, and how to create mismatches.
It would be a little unconventional, and likely wouldnt be an every down thing for sure, but with a little imagination, it isn't out of the realm of reality either.
I didn't anything about base? In fact, I said not an every down thing.Empty as your base set?
There was an earlier report that there was only one team considering Sewell in the top 5. That was almost assuredly Cincy. I think it will be a toss up for them between Sewell and Chase. I think the whole, "he's a generational talent" thing with Sewell has gone away. He's a great athlete and a great prospect, but he's not perfect and he's never gone up against even good college pass rushers. DJ's latest board has Sewell as the 12th best player. If Cincinnati can find OL help for Burrow later, why would we pass up a playmaker for OL help at six? Don't get that thinking. Sewell drops. Too many quality playmakers in this one. I think the Patriots get the Bengals pick, just my hunch, and they aren't doing it for a receiver or O line help. We get the best non-quarterback playmaker in the draft. And we will be happy with the pick.
Smith has outperformed him every year!
Georgia fan, so Gator hater is correct.OP is just a Gators hater, don't waste your time on this thread tbh. DJ has Pitts #2 on his big board now, I'm trusting him over this guy any day of the week.
Is the receiver we are drafting comparable to guys like Julio Jones, Megatron, and etc? Is Pitts comparable to the best tight ends in the league? Base on domination at least we seen Pitts all over the field making all kinds of catches from all kinds of situation. I am looking at not just separation, but also difficulty of catches. From the games I seen Pitts we can see him catch about anything in traffic. At the end of the day, there are many skilled players in WR, and TE. But in terms of TE, there is only one Pitts.I didn't anything about base? In fact, I said not an every down thing.
I was just pointing out that, with a little innovation, there is no reason it couldnt be effective.
Either MG, or Pitts are more than capable of lining up at various spots. It would create not only mismatches, but also put a DC in a tough position with personnel package substitution.

Do you have your overall big board posted anywhere? I've seen your postion ranks on the draft forum. I would be interested to see your overall rankings. That's about right - if he has him one spot behind Radunz at #11. Sewell is #12 on my board.

Gotcha. Well we appreciate the positional work you post up.I do not have it posted here. I kindly decided to spare everyone most of the details from this point forward. Just passing comment on the experts now.
I've gotten used to this semi-retired life.

Hardly a surprise and hardly a surprise you post threads of this kind of quality tbh.Georgia fan, so Gator hater is correct.

I put Pitts behind Smith, Chase, Waddle.
Now I am thinking Pitts and Waddle are even, and both of them are ahead of Smith and Chase., best suit for us anyway.
