Perhaps so. But I don't think so.
As I said though, if the Cardinals are saying they're going to draft Murray, then at that point the negotiations are done for me. Because I don't believe they really would be of the mindset that they're going to give up on Josh Rosen and go with Kyler Murray, unless we give them draft picks, and then they'll be OK going all the way down to 13 overall and ending up with some non-elite player like Christian Wilkins or Jawaan Taylor.
If the Cardinals are truly after Kyler Murray, it's done. There is such a thing as a player being out of reach.
So, you want to spend the 13th pick on a guy that is only going to play 3 1/2 to 4 years? Really? There's really no evidence that it would cost that much so it's kind of a silly question to ask.
I have conviction that he's a franchise quarterback that will be one of the most threatening signal callers in the NFL for however long he plays, which I assume will be an average length of time.
You can watch GOT's in the meantimeTeam is tanking so I don’t GAF what they do. I’m not looking forward to this year at all and it’s horrible. I love the team and NFL but what can a guy do at this point?
No! It's called leverage and good business sense. If I'm a team's GM then i'm interested in "every player" in the draft including Kyler Murray.
That Cardinals team needs lots of help at practically every position. Guess what? That's going to require lots of draft picks.
Thus, I'm willing to dangle the Kyler Murray, #1 overall draft spot, to all interested parties.
Josh Rosen got destroyed behind that Cardinals OL last season.
How much better is a prospect like Murray going to do? 2-4 games better? Maybe?
So why not get as much as I can for that pick and then use them to sensibly build my team?
