WR Jarvis Landry may have been drafted as WR Brian Hartline's eventual replacement

One of the stupidest posts yet. Landry is a pure slot in the NFL. He has no speed i.e. 4.6-4.7 40yds. He is a pure possession receiver, not a 1 or 2. This is a replacement for Rishard Matthews, not even to replace Gibson. Gibson is far more talented and experienced and if healthy JLandry will be riding the pine.

Man I don't get it. Hartline is more reliable than any receiver we have had in a decade, you gotta keep a guy like that. I'm sure our potential franchise QB would agree

They just drafted two WR who look a lot more like Hartline than Wallace, is it because they want to replace Hartline or is it because they actually fit the scheme...? you guys keep saying we should replace Hartline because he's being paid to much when he's not even the most over paid receiver on this roster...

Why do people want to get rid of Tannehill's favorite weapon so bad? He had back to back 1000 yard seasons. Why would they replace Hartline? It's not like his contract is putting us in cap hell.

I don't get it either and I'm starting to think this goes deeper than production. Guy is solid and people have been wanting to show him the door for years now.

I was "meh" on giving Hartline $6 mill a year and he's lived up to that "mehness," nothing more, nothing less. He'll get the opportunity to take another step up but if he doesn't get in the endzone more he better be thinking about putting his house up for sale next offseason.

I'm far from a homer. But I disagree with most everything you just said. Hartline during the Bess era, played at a high level against teams top CB. And produced. He produced again last year. He's not a sexy player, but he's a consistent player. He has the ability to get behind corners and he runs nice routes. You can dislike him, but it jades your bias against him.

I love Brian Hartline's heart and attitude and there is always a place on any team for a guy like him, but a lot of what LDaniel7 said in his post is true. The Dolphins should always be looking to upgrade their talent, and I think the offense would benefit greatly by upgrading from what Hartline offers. Especially when you factor in what Hartline gets paid.

That is the problem though. He is just solid, he is not great. I really like the kid but I would love to have great.

We have two great players in Wake and Grimes. One could not male a practice squad on any NFL team, and came via Canada. The other was coming off a serious injury. We got very lucky on both in FA, which is wher our best payers have come from, so far.

Are you buying what this site is selling? Hartline with 9 instead of 5? Wallace with "THREE" as opposed to 11? Hell, I think Wallace had 2 or 3 vs Balt alone. I know you know better than that.

Sure i don't agree

I really really do not understand what we're doing at receiver... I just don't get it. We have 4 good receivers and we draft 2 other guys... Who are we cutting or planning to trade? Why draft a guy for the practice squad when we could have drafted a guy that could really compete for a spot at another position?

Wallace shouldn't have been signed to that contract in the first place. Hartline deserved that money, Wallace? Not even close....
