Bart Scott, "The AFC east has never seen a violent defense"

You left out 2001 when we were 10-6:D

2003: Chad gtes hurt in preseason
2005: Chad is lost for the season in week 3
2007: Chad tears ligaments in his ankle in Week 1
2009: No Chad here to get hurt so hopefully we win in an odd year.

I didn't forget....you need a starting point for everything (like 1970 is when NFL history matters from ;) )....for this, the starting point is 2002.

...and don't try and toss your Jets curse over on our side....besides, we've got 2 Chad's....so we're protected.

It's going to be alot of fun when those guys prove to be for real. :chuckle:

Why didn't Ozzie Newsome Hired Rex Ryan HC of the revans ??

You would think he knows him more than anyone in the NFL.

Kind of goes hand in hand though because Jerry Jones didn't make Sparano HC for Dallas

A little different....

Jones picked a coach with prior head coaching experience for his team he felt was ready to win now.

Other differences for what it's worth....Jones went with a defensive coach, Sparano is an offensive coach (could be meaningless, or could be a big factor as to why he would go with Wade Phillips over TS...or Jason Garrett for that matter).

Meanwhile, Ravens hired a defensive coach, even with RR as their D coordinator.

Jones went w/ an experienced guy who was experienced at never winning playoff games. So that situation was worse, I'd rather go w/ an unknown than a known who has proven he can't do it.

JJ wanted to hire a 3/4 DC to be his HC becuase all the high draft picks he invested on the D side of the ball.. he said that himself.

last year many Ravens veterans asked Ozzie to hire Rex Rayan to be their HC but he instead hired John Harbaugh.

Ah nvm then. Apparently his plan didn't work out though

Did you expect him to say "we didn't like Sparano"? Of course they will justify any HC they hire.

Really bart? A "violent" defense? Well the AFC North never had a "violent" offense to deal with!

How are we consistently one of the leagues sorriest teams when only 3 AFC teams have more playoff apps than us since 2001.

Who is more focused on beating you? rex was talking about the pats not the dolphins, Crowder brought he and the dolphins into the conversation.

So Bart Scott is "aging" at 28 years old but Porter being 30 when you signed him was in his prime?

We were 1 of 2 makeable kicks that we msised from going to the AFC Title Game. you can't really get closer than that.

I was talking about close to getting to the title game.

Bart Scott doesn't need to change an entire defense, he has alot of talent around him here as well. Maybe not quite as much as baltimore but we have alot of talent on D.

You are full of **** if you think Mark Sanchez is going to lead your offense to a winning season. You went 9-7 with Brett Favre, how do you expect to do any better with a one year wonder at USC?
