FA alert: Demarco Murray

Demarco Murray's career is about over. Plus he's one of those types that complains to coaches and the media. Considering the "culture transformation" and roster purge we are currently going through, he doesn't seem like a Gase kind of guy.

Odd considering the post I just made above.

Would much rather use that money to sign a veteran DT and get our RB through the draft.

Same here, we need to sign another piece though because we can’t go into the draft like this with still so many needs.

I would rather one of the DT’s and sign another young back.

Should be cheap. Might be a good compliment to Drake. And frees up another draft pick to use elsewhere.

I’ll take Murray. We can squeeze another serviceable year out of him. Still need to draft one.

Only cool with this if he's cheap and it's a one year deal. This is a deep draft at RB. I'd rather draft one in the third or fourth round to immediately become Drake's backup, but whatever.

Hope this doesn't mean they're planning on leaving a hole at DT until draft night unless they really like Phillips, Godchaux, and Taylor.

Demarco's rushing yardage is all over the place, but the trend is declining. Great year in 2014 in Dallas. Very good year in 2016 in Tennessee. If he came to Miami, it would be his 4th team in 5 years. To be honest, I don't like the trend. I would look elsewhere.

Same. I’d rather use our dwindling resources at DT too

Yeah....Not feeling it....Arian Foster still creeps in my mind...used RB's are a stop gap to me...I believe this draft can bring us a complimentary back as early as the 4th...Royce Freeman?...Bo Scarborough...not sure who would be there ...Kaylen Ballage...Jaylen Samuels (?)

no thanks. would much rather draft one. there are a few day 3 backs that will be very good

Murray isn't the signing that we need right now. We need to use what little cap space we have remaining and get something at DT. Our depth there is abysmal at the moment.

He would be a solid backup with starter ability if Drake got injured. Good hands, incredible blocker and a power runner between the tackles. What’s not to like. Foster was out of gas when he got here Murray has a couple of seasons in the tank to contribute and help mentor. I’m all for it at 3.5 or under.

I still like Dwill over free agents. Draft one and let them compete.

There’s also this:

In his two seasons with the @Titans, @DeMarcoMurray helped change the culture in the locker room at Saint Thomas Sports Park. He held teammates accountable, and showed leadership and professionalism with his work ethic and approach.
