Flaaco slid late

My guess is Kiko will miss the Oakland game.

I obviously didn't watch the game? Pffft with that little ad hominem attack, it won't work.

2 Photos, Indisputable proof.

Alonso knew; it was the freaking reason why he launched himself at a ground level Flacco. If he didn't know Flacco was going down, then he wouldn't have been going low like that. Dirty hit. Period. Try to justify it all you want, it won't change a damn thing.

Have you ever played football before? You do know you're going 100mph the entire game, right? Flacco slid late and Kiko wanted to get a hit on the QB and protect the first down marker. Would you rather our players play soft and say "oh, go ahead, take that first down"? There's a reason players like Cris Carter, Deion Sanders and a couple of ex-linebackers were defending Kiko.

Using photos doesn't prove anything when you play a game that fast. And your argument is that Flacco "begins" his slide 4 yards away from Kiko. 4 yards is equivalent to roughly 1 second of game time considering how fast these players play the game. The average human reaction time to visual stimuli is .25 seconds. So you're asking Kiko to diagnose the situation, stop all his momentum and make a snap decision that Flacco is definitely sliding all in 1 second.

It's not as easy as you think when you're out there. Flacco made a mistake and unfortunately, paid for it. I don't want to see any player get hurt, but it wasn't anyone's fault but his own. And I hope he's back and ready to play as soon as possible.

Slid way too late. You can't blame the defender for that. Totally unfair call and the inevitable fine plus possible suspension is total bullshit. Kiko was easily the best player on the team yesterday.
Not saying much...and he really didn't look great. I actually think he's not good period but Flacco definitely did that to himself.

**** Flacco. Sorry but I am heartless and classless when it comes to sports. Cheered, rewinded, and then saved the YouTube video to bring me up when I'm down. I truly hate Joe Flacco. Don't even know why. I can't stand his face. I've always wanted to punch him.

Kiko went from a guy I hate to a guy I kinda hate last night.

Same here......lol......although Flacco is not at the top of the list I would've enjoyed seeing creamed......that would be Brady, Bradford, Newton and a few others.

The people thinking Kiko had a dirty hit or what ever are the reasons for all of these ridiculous rules now. Why dont all of you go put your tutus on and pick up your barbie dolls. Those guys are moving so fast Joe knew what was coming when he went down that late. And kiko lead with his shoulder. There shouldn't be a fine or anything. Honestly there shouldn't have even been a penalty. My favorite part of Mondays used to be the jacked up segment. Now there are flags for every hard hit. Ridiculous.

Pitt hit on Moore last year was worse. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't we get penalties for defending Moore last year???

This. And kiko actually did what he could to avoid nailing dumb ass flacco helmet to helmet, all the baltimore stuff that was overlooked was intentional stuff.

It does not have much bearing on the end result, but the refs were all in baltimore's favor last night.

Thats what Im saying as well. if anyone thinks what Kiko did was dirty or intentional they have clearly never played the game. Also just tired of everyone whining about hard hits. My god its football. rugby players are laughing at this league.

It was a penalty, it was called and should have been. It happened during the play and Flaco slid late, so tough to say he was targeting his head. The league will look at it and because it's a QB he will probably get suspended for a game. It is what it is and I am OK with that.

My issue in that whole sequence is why wasn't a flag thrown on the linemen that came and drilled Kiko? That was absolutely flagrant and would have been a 15 yard penalty and ejection.

I totally agree that if a QB leaves the pocket he should be treated as a RB. You hit the QB as hard as you possibly can, whenever you can. He's a football player. It's also a psychological advantage.

Football has become such a ***** sport.

Later in the game that red head was driving into suhs legs after the whistle he slaps his arm off him gets called for a personal foul.

I’m real surprised suh didn’t just go hulk on that guy at some point.

Dirty player
Yea certain player's just get tired of the cheap shots like Kiko or Suh so when the refs attempt to set the tone with a blind eye they are not afraid to show their feeling. NFL is a bit of a socialist system and attempts to mash anyone who calls em out for doing wrong

Have I played football? sure have, but not at the professional level.

"Kiko wanted to get a hit on the qb" - For certain he did, and he did it with malice. He knew Flacco was sliding, was going down. He lowered his damn shoulder to bring the bang. So you are telling he he can react and lower his shoulder for the hit, but he can't check himself, when the league is full of plays where guys do exactly that? Get real.

And all this talk about average reaction times, etc. its .25 seconds for an average guy? How many guys in the NFL are what you would describe as average? How many starting linebackers are Average? Yeah, thought so. Thanks for making my point for me.

I know its not easy to check up, but come on man, he didn't even try. Its a dirty play.

Looked to me like Flacco took an extra step beyond what he should have, knowing the hit was coming...but he wanted the first down. Kiko didn't want him to get the first down. But if you look at the tackle, it's the same motion he used to tackle that tight end earlier who jumped right over him...not effective at all there...a little too effective here. Take the penalty, maybe the suspension...but I don't think the intent was to injure...I think it was to stop him from getting the first down.
