Offensive Coordinator

And what makes you think Gase is a good OC? What has he ever done to make you think that? When he was in Denver they were basically running Peyton Manning's offense. He hasn't proven anything yet. The Dolphins weren't exactly great on offense last year even when Ryan Tannehill played.

Werent we in the playoffs last year? And didnt we lose our quarterback this year...? Not many teams will make the playoffs when their starting quarterback goes down for an extended period of time!!

Ya and they weren't that good of a team last year. Just because they made the playoffs doesn't mean that they were that great. They lucked out in a lot of those wins they had. Heck the Niners almost beat them.

I think Gase is incapable of hiring quality assistant coaches. Nobody good wants to come here and join this circus.

No I'm a realist and don't live in fantasyland when it come to this team. You can keep living there though.

No offense, realist, but where have you been for 20 years? This is the first time this team has not been a circus.

Are there distractions? Sure. Could Gase have handled some things differently? Maybe.

Tell me, how would've Joe Philbin handled Jarvis Landry, Suh, Ajayi, or any of the alpha types across this league that we'd like to have in Miami? At least Gase is respected, experienced, and a legit talent. What is Joe Philbin's talent besides holding his mouth wide open on the sidelines? Where was his experience or respect? We all see what Joe did for our QB! Gase turned Ryan into a borderline playoff caliber QB in 13 games after Joe broke him mentally and physically behind the OL he masterfully constructed from all his experience at the position.

Adam took a broken QB, made 2016 a career year for him, and had him in position to start his first playoff game and it took him 13 games to do it. He also had the brains to know Ryan was a QB who not only he could work with, but he'd be fortunate to work with. Joe is half the people on FH that couldn't even tell Ryan had potential at QB. For chrissakes, he's an OL "specialist" who destroyed the o line. He's an offensive coordinator who never called a play. Swapping Philbin for Gase was a gift from God, if you don't believe me, go ask Andrew Luck.

I've been a fan of this team since the early 80's, so I know they have been a circus for a long time. And this isn't about comparing Philbin to Gase. Philbin was a joke as a head coach. But that doesn't mean Gase is the savior either. The jury is still out on him even if you think he is great. I don't. But the biggest problem with this team is Ross. He is the one who hired Philbin in the first place. He was also the one who hired Gase. It all starts at the top and we have a clueless owner who never seems to hire the right people.

Gase better bring in a new defensive coordinator as well. Burke sucks!

Kinda hard to make chicken salad when you're given chicken ****

Case in point
He was given Kiko Alonso who couldn't cover my grandmother...and she's dead

He was given Timmons who went awol then gave us a couple of decent games
and faded the rest of the season. I'm sure he doesn't want to be here and his play showed that.

He was given a fat drunk to play Linebacker...enough said

He was given two strong safeties of which if we're being honest
are not very good in coverage

He was given Andre Branch who had 4.5 sacks but honestly
do you remember a great play he made all season?
Expect less of the same next season

He was given Harris who came on a bit at the end of the season
but for the most part did a great disappearing act that Harry Houdini
would have been proud of.

Hayes ended up on IR

Raekwon McMillan 1play and done IR

Last years starting corner Tony Lippett...IR

Burke has done things that make you shake your head
his system is questionable but it was his 1st year as DC
and he didn't exactly have a great hand dealt to him

Give him a chance with another year and hopefully
a few decent defensive draft picks and a healthy defensive roster

When you use the word "circus" to describe this team, it is only natural to compare Gase to coaches we had when this was really a circus.

The Philbin hire was the worst thing Ross ever did. IMO, he redeemed his self with the stadium and Gase hire. I'm not alone in the opinion that Ross started off as a bad owner but has made improvements.

You are right, the jury is still out on Gase. I am not saying Gase is perfect, but the hire was. Gase was the right man for the job and I believe he still is.

I' going to give up on a coach of Gase's caliber who had everything go wrong for him in his second year. Not after what i've seen coach this team since i've been a fan.

That being said, i'll be holding Gase fully accountable in year 3. His ****iness and tendency to bring in friends over talent is a legitimate concern. & if he rolls with Tannehill and Moore next year, and we're in the same boat late next season, that is just plain ignorance. We'll see if he does that, but I don't think he does.

Dowell Loggains makes a ton of sense.
Has a relationship with Gase from the 2015 Bears offense.
Admirable performance with Chicago last year as a first year OC

We should also bring in more Bengals coaches too, makes tons of sense....Bears and Bengals failure staff come to us.
