Team QB Rankings (prepare to wince Bills and Jets fans)

Don't worry about it we all know there was a reason Minnesota wanted to ship culpepper's (_!_) out of there. Anyone that can't see that is flat out in denial.

Please, don't be coy. Share it with those of us that are in denial.

The word scapegoat comes to mind.

Yeah, it's a total coincidence that Brad Johnson came in and reeled off like 5 straight wins.

Oh, I understand. I dont care whos on the Dolphins or anyone elses staff, until the put up the wins and superbowl wins like Billicheck he and whoever the hell is on his staff is still better.

Don't you realize that Nick Saban is GOD?

He's gonna turn Daunte Culpepper into Tom Brady ... right after he turns Fat Bennie The Penalty Anderson into a decent NFL right guard!

Why is it that Bills fans want to wish that Daunte's 2004 season didn't happen and two games in 2005 are a better indicator of his capabilities? 2 TDs per game, excellent career completion %, and all around excellent career numbers at the QB position are all historical facts.

Saban doesn't need Culpepper to be anyone other than Daunte Culpepper.

Why is it that most Fin Fans refuse to accept that Culpepper comes with big-time question marks? Nobody knows when DC will be ready to play. Nobody knows if DC will be the Daunte of 2004 or the Daunte of 2005.

What is known is that Culpepper did horrible with the same team that Brad Johnson almost took to the playoffs. What is also known is that Daunte did not adapt to the new Minnesota offense. What is also known is that Daunte is prone to making turnovers and bad decisions that put his team in holes. What is also known is that despite his gaudy stats, Daunte has a losing win-loss record, and his teams have only made the playoffs twice in his seven years. In fact, in 2004, Minnesota finished 8-8, and only made the playoffs because the NFC is much weaker than the AFC.

What is known is that Culpepper had 2, count 'em, 2 bad games in 2005. The rest fit his history pretty well. What else is known is that Culpepper was sacked 31 times in the just over six games (about 5/game) he played in as opposed to the 23 times Johnson was sacked in the almost 10 he played (2.3/game). The OL jelling up couldn't have had anything to do with BJ being able to get the job done, could it have?

The fact that Minnesota went 8-8 in 2004 had more to do with Minnesota's defense allowing 24.7 points/game than with poor play by Culpepper. Culpepper did what he could. The defense, however, sucked... In the 8 wins, the D allowed just over 20 points/game (20.375). In the losses, just under 30 (29.75).

The simple fact is that Culpepper at 65% is better than any starter we've had since Marino at 100%.

Culpepper is better than an QB to ever play for the Bills and any, except for Marino, to play for the Fins.

They'll make excuses all day for their overhyped bust QB who's done nothing and then turn around and declare Culpepper washed up because he had a few bad games. When the team failed it was his fault, when they were successful though suddenly he's not responsible for the team's fortunes anymore.

Maybe the fewer sacks per game resulted from Johnson reading defenses better and getting rid of the ball quicker ...

Maybe the 8-8 record in 2004 had to do with Daunte throwing INTs or fumbling that put the D in a hole ...

Points taken, but "maybe" its easier to sack a pocket QB like Brad than Daunte? Unless the OL is a revolving door...

Also, Daunte threw 7 picks and had 3 fumbles in the games he lost. That's about 7 points per game if he threw picks and fumbled for TDs. We know that "if" that happened, why did the D allowed over 24 PPG still?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When Jim Kelly takes a dump in the morning, he drops more football talent into the toilet than Daunte Culpepper has ever had in his entire body. The only thing DC has in common with Marino is that they both have a habit of getting massacred in the playoffs.

Last year Culpepper had two GOOD games. And by good, I mean games where he wasn't completely awful. Against Green Bay and New Orleans. Of course, these were among the worst teams in the league, picking in the Top 4 of the NFL Draft. After his terrible season, he got hurt, and Brad Johnson won 6 games in a row. Not a coincidence.

Yes a coincidence. The defense played better and the team shifted philosophy mid-season. Plus, it should be noted that all of Brad Johnson's wins, sans 1, came against mostly creampuff opponents, and when facing quality teams, he fared poorly as well.

The only thing that put the D in a hole is the fact that they had no clue how to play defense.
