come on weather... let the mets play some freakin ball.
they are, and theyre winning. Its always more fun kicking philly's butt :)Hopefully they're playing tonight.
2 hrs and a beautiful diving grab on a sinking liner. Glavine fought through the rough outing.alou with 2 hrs today... i guess there was no rust from the weather delays.
so uh yeah....if gomez keeps this up anyone else think its a matter of time before Milledge gets dealt for a starter?
It's a definitely a good thing to beat up on the Phils.
Wright may be struggling with RISP, but a hit tonight and he owns the longest hit streak in franchise history.
See thats an aspect I hate about reporting; baiting to create a story. A reporter like that would simply be locked out of any press conference I gave. I would literally have him barred for being a putz or I just wouldnt speak to the press, forget the fines. But thats just me. People are people and this reporter needs to realize every manager has his own style; some are screamers and tantrum guys, some arent, and some just pick a time and place.Charlie Manuel just blew his stack. :sidelol: Hope he is fired soon:
Manuel confronts reporter after loss
Manager exchanges sharp words following defeat to the Mets

PHILADELPHIA -- Manager Charlie Manuel hollered and laced into a profanity-laced tirade after Tuesday's 8-1 loss to the Mets, only his 10 minutes of invectives weren't directed at his players.
The postgame press conference ended abruptly when WIP radio personality and Manuel antagonist Howard Eskin baited the manager by suggesting he shed his perceived nice-guy image and Norman Vincent Peale approach to winning ("The Power of Positive Thinking") -- and "go off on somebody."
Seemingly good naturedly, Manuel said, "There are times and ways to do it. For me to just go in there and throw a fit -- I can go in there and tear the whole [expletive] locker room up. I can come in here and throw over every chair. I don't see where that's going to do any good."
Eskin persisted.
"Don't you think it creates some urgency for the players?" he said. "Because they hardly ever see you angry."
"I think they see me angry more than you think they do," Manuel said. "I think you probably don't see me angry. I can show you [that] I can get angry. Why don't you drop by my office? I'll be waiting on you. I'll walk down there right now."
When Eskin joked that he'd be heading to the manager's office, Manuel repeated that he'd be waiting. Minutes later, Eskin was in Manuel's office and the manager could be heard screaming from behind a closed door. Ten minutes later, while reporters were questioning starter Freddy Garcia, Manuel walked into the clubhouse and continued.
Told to "grow up" by Eskin, Manuel shot back with an unprintable response. He was escorted to the back by catching instructor Mick Billmeyer and media relations manager Greg Casterioto, while hitting coach Milt Thompson took Eskin out the front door. Some players, including Shane Victorino, Garcia, Jon Lieber and Jayson Werth, witnessed the exchange. Much of it is frustration over the team's 3-9 start that has left them in last place in the National League East. Though he might not have expressed it with a blowup, the players know he's not happy.
