because to beat Brady, you have to beat Brady.
I'd rather get a guard in the third round
It's just that you don't want to get stuck without talent at such an important position. Plus, the draft has an uncharacteristically high number of edge rushers so why not go shopping down that aisle so to speak?
It's a little bit like when Dan Marino got older and the Dolphins kept passing up quarterbacks and thinking only short-term. Then all of a sudden they had nothing at the position for a long-time. Cam Wake can't play forever. Branch is just okay and Harris is a one year stop-gap. You've got to think two, three years down the road.
This question has been asked and answered a million freaking times. Wake is 35. Hayes leaves after this season and Branch is nothing but average....4 or 5 sacks a year is what you can expect from him and the other two guys are ST players. We need a dynamic pass rushing DE big time
Ozzy rules!!
Yep you nailed unless it's just about protecting Ryan Tannehill
1. Pass rush is the staple of this defense and we have a one single, aging DE on his last legs who is capable of providing pressure on demand that is on a limited snap count of around 50%. The rest of our pass rushers are pretenders.
2. This is one of the best defensive drafts in years; take advantage of it.
3. Am I being punked?
Wake is 35...he had a great year...he was 34. He has another year...Hayes, signed on for another year. Branch, Gase threw a bucket of money at him to sit him on the bench?
DE is not a priority. On the defensive side, I would rank the secondary higher on my "To Do" list because they almost have nobody impactful...besides Jones.

In terms of success for the Phins...how far up the ladder would you rate this?
The truth is DT is a bigger need than DE. But I'd be fine taking a DE like Harris in the first.
(Un)fortunately, Caleb Brantley reportedly knocked a woman out...is he there at 54?

He'll probably be there at 154.
He plays passing situations and Hayes plays run situations.
