I just don’t think you start him opposite hash if that’s the ask. I mean maybe minkah makes up that distance but not tj

If mctyer is suppose to be inside leveraged then he blows it on his own. Possible he wasn’t but man that’s a tough safety ask of tj

I get that. But if not him, then was Jones freelancing? We can't possibly expect McTyer to cover that by himself.

I think it was their 3rd or 4th wr and yeah at times he has to be able to handle that as the nickel corner on his own.
 
I want you guys to watch reshad Jones effort to pursue on the last Dalvin Cook td.

That dude is sand bagging like crazy. He used to be like a rocket to the ball.

I’m surprised nothings been said about it in film study or leaked.

I’ve got a lot of tape like this in pursuit this year post benching
 
From Jonses own comments, it sounds like what the Rams did to Quinn. They took him out of his normal position where he was successful, and put him somewhere else where he didn't prosper.
Burke did say that McDonald spoke to the defense better. I'd rather have Burke gone.

His entire career needed to be in that role.

It's not merely coverage liability. He can't diagnose running plays well from a typical safety position.

It's ridiculous for the opponent to be in 3rd and short and not have Jones breathing down the line of scrimmage. McDonald has indeed improved his tackling but he's not the wiry cobra off the edge like Jones.

It will be interesting to see how Jones fares at Buffalo, especially if we have already been eliminated. He's had some miserable games up there.
 
It’s just there’s two of them -- and this is the exact problem facing Miami. We sign/draft players and then don't have a role for them. Why in the world do we start 2 SS? I think next offseason one of them has to go so we can get Minkah at FS. It might be Jones if he continues to be grumpy and he is the older of the 2 SSs.
 
Does anyone remember me posting about how I liked TJ and how he was a bargain (at the time he signed) but didn't think the interchangeable safety thing (can't remember if it was Bowles or Joseph who came up with this ... but I believe Isa and a younger Jones were the pieces ... which worked) with 2 cookie cutter strongs out there made sense in today's league ... and got blasted for it? I remember like 1 person agreeing with me and a whole bunch of others insisting I didn't know what the hell I was talking about. I hate that I keep being right about this stuff.
 
nah^ no one pays attention to anyone else.

Reshad is a very good player who is me-first and overpaid. Burke just sucks. Would be totally fine moving away from both next season. TJ can do Reshad's job at 85% efficiency for 35% of the contract - this is called value.

Can’t wait to get the ball rolling in the offseason.

Been noticing for weeks now the lack of “want to”. Guy lacks enthusiasm, which is contagious (Juice voice). Bad attitude towards teammates while they celebrate. Usually he’ll just casually walk away while guys are high fiving. Total buzzkill!

He feels under appreciated but the truth is he’s masking the fact that his skills have diminished drastically, probably jealous of #29 too.

Can’t wait to get the ball rolling.

Yeah McDonald’s played better ball of late but you definitely have to worry about those angles sometimes especially when coming forward from deep as the deepest ask in run pursuit

That’s why it should be minkahs ask in 2019
