No it's not his ego, it's his age now. He's too old for that crap. Although I think he could be successful in the right organization. The right organizations are successful no matter who they bring in as head coach.
He just understands now that having success in the wrong organization has little to do with you, and everything to do with all the other hands involved in it.
Nobody succeeds in the Dolphins organization. Not Bill Parcells, or Saban or Jimmy Johnson....probably not even Vince Lombardi.
Check that, Saban lied to 3 different programs and has a history of telling kids they need to stay in school instead of realizing their dreams lmao, what a d***...
Plaxico Burress: "I was a 19 year old kid, the man that recruited me to play for him, look me in my face and told me a lie," was one of Burress' tweets that pretty much sums up how he feels about Saban, even after all these years."
"Now Nick Saban players are being distracted by the NFL and chasing a dream, haha tell your story Nick. LSU showed you $$, you was GONE! Ha"

Nick Saban and Alabama ... I rest my case. Meaningful huh.Plaxico Burress? I rest my case.
In college football you have to deal with alumni, athletic directors, university presidents, boosters, and the fanbase. You have to keep them all pleased.
In the NFL, you only have to please the owner.
Although you are correct, there's no welfare system in college football for the sake of parity. You only get the talent you and your staff get their *** out there and recruit. You have to outwork the other big fish that have the same advantages you have.
You don't have a clue what you're talking about. Anybody can get on the internet and run their mouth. It don't take much.
I heard Saban talk about Marino several years ago at a clinic, he talked about facing him when he was DC in Cleveland in the early 90's. He talked about a specific technique he was trying to teach Antonio Langham and the Browns DB's in regards to how they wanted them to break on the ball...
"But that break on the ball sh^t don't work when it's Marino".....
He is despised by everyone that is not a Bama fan ..just like the patriots are. Go to a sports bar outside of Alabama and see who people are rooting for. He's not despised. It's a myth.
Nobody lied to Plaxico Burress but himself. Ronnie Blackman should've stayed for his Senior year. You don't even know why Saban said that, or what point he was trying to make. Believe me, he knew Ronnie's situation much better than you do.
They didn't change the rules in 2004, they started enforcing the no contact of WR beyond 5 yards after Patriot secondary mauled Colts receivers in AFC championship game in 2003.What gets overlooked and marginalized is the rules changes of 2004....Marino’s record were on solid ground until then...
One of the best posts in the history of this site. Our resident Alabama fans are like nyjunc. You mentioned Sanchez, Rex and/or Jets and there he was. You mention Tua, Saban or Alabama and here they are. And this endless stupid defending of Saban's time in the NFL especially with the Dolphins is very nyjunc-like as well.
As Dolphins fan nobody cares what he does in Alabama. His lasting memory in the NFL is not only that he is an awful NFL HC but also a sneaky lying bastard for telling not only media and fans that he had no interest to go to Alabama but also his team and employer while already having completed negotiations with Alabama to become their HC. That is highly unprofessional and even if he would be interested I doubt that any NFL owner would throw cash at him.
That part of his life of course does not diminish the fact that he is a great college coach. He does great recruiting and is a great game day coach.
There are plenty of Dolphins fans who don't give a flying **** about college football. For them the name Saban is equal to: bad coach, bad NFL talent evaluator, liar, unprofessional.
I don't know if our Alabama Crimson Tide trolls are Dolphins fans or not. But if they are they might want to take a page from the Canes fan/Dolphins fan playbook. While we love JJ as a Hurricanes coach we realized his shortcomings as a Dolphins coach (and JJ took on a much worse cap situation than Saban). His failure as a Dolphins HC does not diminish his accomplishments with the Canes and his accomplishment with the Canes does not blind us from his shortcomings as Dolphins HC.
And if you are not a Dolphins fan I have to refer to paragraph 1 in this post and I will look at you as trolls in the Main forum.
