Alex Marvez Is Hearing Richard To Miami

Nothing is going to happen until next week anyways. Rizzi has an interview on Friday and Richard is still in the playoffs with the cowboys. So It’s a waiting game right now.

Reading this article, Jerry is going to pull out all the stops to keep Richard, but canning Jason Garrett in order to do so seems unlikely.

It will depend on how Richard views this job... Does he really want to make the leap with this team, or would he rather take the pay increase and stay with Dallas to wait for a better opportunity next year. The things Miami has in favor if they want him is that Ross won't be outbid, and that they have a core of young secondary players in X and Minkah that could entice him. He also might know the org a little having played here for a season back in 2004. .. Another thing is that defensive HC's aren't much in demand these days. If he waits, would he ever get an opportunity?

I could see it going either way, but this definitely makes sense why they continue to talk up Flores even if they really want Richard. If Richard leaves them hanging they need to project confidence in Flores.

Until Ross finds out everybody is hiring offensive coaches and he scraps the whole process and starts anew.

Jerry Jones is a real tool let this man get a promotion if you wants it don't try to stop him.

I'm thinking the interviews will keep going as teams are eliminated in the playoffs, and maybe beyond.

We had less than 30 minutes with him and he's our number 1 choice? If that's the case than he was the leading candidate probably because of the Pete Carroll connection from the start.

Flores and Richard were probably top targets going in looking at the way they approached this. But the interview wasn't just 30 minutes long. It was between 1 hour and 2 hours. They were also at the game to watch him coach on the sidelines. They scheduled him for a 2nd interview so it looks like this was always their intent... to have a short initial "get to know you" interview and then have a follow-up more in-depth interview with the top candidates.
