BREAKING NEWS: Boston Coming Back!

:woot:

this is quality... great news.

I love waking up to news like this!!!

This is a good thing but nothing to throw a huge party over. Boston hasn't been himself in a few years. Certainly if he is healthy he'd provide great quality depth with Linehan's offense that features three WRs often. Chambers-Booker-Boston-Thompson-Gilmore-Welker, looking much like the beginning of last year's training camp.

I understand many of you having some excitement over Boston's return but don't get carried away too fast. He has a lot of injury problems and I would quite frankly be shocked if he can even make it through half of the season. Also, he has only had 2 good seasons out of his 6 years in the league so it's not like he is proven year in and year out. I'm just glad that he won't be counted on as a starter because his injury and attitude history have me concerned.

Also, if Boston has a big year then be prepared to say goodbye in 06.

I dont know why everybody is so excited. There are 31 other teams in the NFL. All of these teams had the opportunity to sign him for dirt cheap and none of them did. What does that tell you?
25(?) teams had an opportunity to draft Dan Marino. What does that tell you?:shakeno:

An accident waiting to happen.

Maybe. But its a low-risk accident with the possibility for a very large reward.

exactly... and this is why it is good news.

Good. Welcome back Boston. NOW, stay healthy, stay off the illegal sunstances and avoid being suspended by the league and hurting your team. Hmmmm sounds somewhat like someone else most people hate and DON'T want back.
OK, I'm glad Boston resigned. But had he not gotten hurt last year, he would did something similar to Miami that Ricky did: he would have been suspended from the team and hurt us. And he would have done it KNOWINGLY because he wasn't accidentally taking the steroids.
Ricky did retire on us, but the substances he was taking were no more illegal that what Boston was taking. So why are so many people willing to give Boston another chance and not RW? I know Williams retired and left the team high and dry. But like I said, Boston was on the path to do effectively the same thing. (By being suspended) He knew he was taking illegal substances BEFORE he got hurt.
I know alot of people will argue how many differences there are between the two. And there are some differences. But there are a lot of similarities.

Boston wasn't a steroid user, he used a legal substance in another country that the NFL just happens to frown upon. And his personal trainer described the lengths he went to to get to the size he was (some time last year), so why should we blame steroids? I think a WR with undoubted talent, at the size he is (not actually so sure how big he is now) would make a mean *** addition to our corps, he could make the difference in our division!

This REALLY good news, we had to have 3 good receivers to put on the field and now we have that... I'm sure Nick has talked with David and wouldn't have made this decision had he not felt comfortable. I'll trust Nick with these decisions! I feel ALOT better about our offense now. Good Running back, above average wide receiving corps, good Tight End, and coaching alone will elevate where we have been the past 3-4 seasons...

I second that. D-Bo has so much talent but his head is a major concern.

now we have a good 3 WR set and Thompson is a good #4 WR

who will be our slot guy now? Boston or Booker?
