Did you watch the game? Dumb question - you're a BYU homer. He's simply far too slow at reading the Defense and the net effect is that he gets sacked a lot. The cute photogenic smile only goes so far when you lead the Jets offense to a grand total of 2 yards in the second half. He doesn't appear to have the ability to play in the NFL. He's worse than Sam Darnold.I wouldn't be so sure of that. Usually it takes about 3 seasons to know what you really have in a quarterback. Happened with Josh Allen and even our very own Tua. Wilson will be just fine, which is unfortunate for us as Dolphin fans.
yes he is. Tua showed much more with much worse talent around him than zach wilson has so far. Zach should show much more now, he has good wrs, good rbs, a damn good defense. He is worse than sam darnold and he doesn't have the mental make up to be that type of franchise qb they want. Maturity is huge and accountabilty, the dude is straight up in denial.Did you watch the game? Dumb question - you're a BYU homer. Ejay, yes, that was my question. that is as one of our posters stated, offensive even to Dog shi$!.Is what real? An NFL offense only netting 2 yards in a half?
Yep, sure happened. And, yes, that’s not easy to do. Gotta achieve a very high level of suckatude. Despite the number of bad teams and bad offenses, it doesn’t happen often.
FWIW, reading defenses and processing the information are the thing a QB improves in going into his 3rd and 4th seasons -- that's when the game is supposed to "slow down." It's also often what filters out the college quarterbacks from the real NFL quarterbacks, so he very well may never make the reads or process the game quickly enough to cut it at this level.Did you watch the game? Tua has had 2 TDS dropped and one taken away(the Sherfield play). 2.5 less games. But… Tua is number one in 4th quarter comebacks, completion %, while Herbert is way down the list.He also has an easy touchdown pass dropped.

You don't wait until Year 3 with a guy who has had a grand total of ZERO good games in his entire NFL career. You wait to see young QBs start to string together their good games with more consistency. You don't wait when there are zero good games to replicate.FWIW, reading defenses and processing the information are the thing a QB improves in going into his 3rd and 4th seasons -- that's when the game is supposed to "slow down." Just based on a cursory glance at Wilson's numbers, he really hasn't shown much in terms of passing yardage or scores. The story on him seems to be getting sacked, and when he isn't getting sacked he's completing passes to players in the wrong jerseys. That wouldn't mean much except that he isn't showing much progress. Allen's first two seasons weren't anything to write about, either, but he at least showed progress in year 2.
Still, the rule of thumb is to not really pay attention to the stats until year 3. Getting sacked 40ish times is not that big of a deal. Allen got sacked 38 times in his second season and still only passed for 20 TD.
Guess the Pats don't have confidence their QB can get them down the field quickly...
