Fire Ireland?

Maybe, if he can every develop a complete game so he can stay on the field every down.

Same exact things were said of Both the players ahead of him on the depth chart. That should help set your mind at ease.

Man Again I cant agree. The Jordan pick was a 1 and 2 and Koa Misi was a 2nd rounder. Both good to VG picks. And I still think Jamar Taylor is going to be a vg CB. Like Jordan he plays a position where have a LOT of good depth.

Your right, I forgot about Misi. He is Irelands best pick ever in the 2nd/3rd round. A solid non-play-making LB. In 6 years of drafting that's nothing special.

I think for Dion's sake you better take him out of the 2nd round group or he is destined to fail like the rest of Irelands guys he's drafted there.

You are severely underrating Misi.

Why fire him now?....the trade deadline has come and gone. They can hire a new GM in January before the Combines in Indy, which I believe is in Feb. Or March. I think the draft us now in May. Do it after the season.

Why fire him now? So the new GM has time to go through the scouting department with a fine toothed comb before we get to free agency and the draft.

I guess when someone is drafted #3 on a team lacking talent, I would expect him to be on the field.

This. It is like Wannstache drafting Fletcher when he has Madison and Surtain on the roster. Wasted pick when there are so many holes elsewhere.

No, it's not like that at all. Fletcher never panned out. If Jordan becomes elitte and all signs point to him doing so then no matter what you might think its a great pick. If you want a GM that just drafts for need and ignores team strengths then we are in for yet another decade of fail. You draft BPA especially with your top pick.

1. Jordan can't get on the field because he can't play the run. Until they outlaw the run in the NFL, that flaw will keep him from being elite.

2. If the BPA for the next 20 years is a defensive tackle we should keep drafting defensive tackles? That makes perfect sense.

Same EXACT thing that kept Wake from starting and limited OVs playing time. I have no doubt in my mind that Jordan will be able to add a few pounds and holfhold the edge vs the run.

I think we both know you just presented a scenario that's never going to happen. Point still stands you NEVER EVER reach for need in the early rounds. EVER. EVER. EVER.....

He's finished. It's all about timing now.

It is the bizarre scenarios that point out the absurdity of the simplistic application of a rule like BPA. Are you really trying to say that there was no one else available on the board at #3 in the draft who could have filled a hole and wasn't a terrible falloff from Jordan? You balance your set of needs against the set of excellent players still available to you.

We are much close to the Jets talent level than the 9ers. This last draft appears to be a failure. Ireland has wasted every single 2nd and 3rd round pick he has ever had.
Hartline is vastly overrated on this board, he doesn't scare anyone and nobody game plans to stop him. He is just a solid possession receiver, nothing great.
Wallace is ok, but ok shouldn't be making 16m a year.
I think the jury has reached a verdict on our LBs, they are overpaid and wheeler sucks.
I am not sure O is improving. Passing game is a little better but our running game has regressed and we can't score more than 20pts a game.

I couldn't get past calling Hartline overrated. He is on pace for 2nd 1000 yard year and is well respected throughout the league. That's just crazy.

After reading this I just have to assume your trolling or not watching games.

Yes overrated by dolphin homers, he's solid and I like him, but lets not get crazy. He is an average WR, will never sniff a probowl or score many TDs. He is a possession receiver. That's not bashing him, that is just what he is.

What Ireland is responsible for..

We are one of the best pass-rushing teams in football. #4 to be exact. Including the #5 leader in the NFL in sacks "Olivier Vernon"
We have three of the league’s top 16 defensive tackles.
We have allowed the third-fewest passing touchdowns in the NFL (12).
Only one WR has caught a TD.. ALL ****ING YEAR..
#9 Scoring Defense
#3 in INT..
A QB who has a passer rating of 87, 6 Td's to 4 Picks, and Over 1300 Yards in The last 5 Games.
Group Of Players's that's THE LEAST PENALIZE ON OFFENSE IN THE LEAGUE..
Top 10 IN PLAYS OF +20 AND +40 YARDS.
Top 10 In Passing Yardage
Top 10 In Completion Percentage
Two WR's that's going to eclipse the 1,000 Yard Mark Each..
#2 Opponents Passer Rating

Signed Grimes, Drafted Carroll, Drafted Clay, Jimmy, Matthews, Hartline, Signed Wallace, Drafted Vernon and Odrick, both having Pro-Bowl Type seasons. Finally found us a QB who's Ranked #7 according to pro-football focus. Signed Patterson. Drafted Clemons top 5 safety in coverage.

With a young QB, and Young head coach at the helm this team has lost the most amount of games by the fewest amount of points.

Salary cap in good shape for the next three years.

Still have our first 4 picks in this draft.

The 9th Youngest team in the league..

But the NOISE just won't stop..God I so hope we continue to win so you hater can eat so much crow, when this young team he has assembled finally learns how to win. Especially games, Like Carolina, and New England. I guess only time will tell..In life there's always a who's right and who was proven to be wrong..We shall see..
