Cutler agrees to sign for fins

Overall, for an August signing I can't complain.

cap hit is fine for a starter*.

If Gase wanted him, well, good for me. Got to try to save the season somehow.

*shrug* I loved his plan A. And I trust he is trying his best to turn any of the ****show options that were plan B into a half decent emergency option, but you can't make a nice meal out of chicken ****. You can dress it up a bit and cover it in salt, but its still chicken **** at the end of the day

His plan A was meh.

But considering there was only a 10% chance Tannehill's knee would be fine his plan B of calling Cutler or Orton or whatever was pure :poop

MODS: I understand consolidating similar threads into one, but it is really annoying when threads that are essentially and intentionally different get merged. Jay Cutler is a high profile member of the Miami Dolphins, we do not need to merge every thread about him into this one thread.
When it is something as trivial as Brandon Marshall saying he can crash at his house, yes it is. When Cutler actually does something for the team then those threads can stay open. Furthermore, if you don't like how we manage the site, you are more than welcome to go to any other fan site. No one is stopping you.

Can't go into a season with Moore, Doughty and Fales. Moore takes too many hits and may not last the season.
Kaepernick (politics aside) is a young player and if he has a decent season, could create a future QB controversy.
An older guy like a Cutler or Romo can hold things down until your starter (RT) is healthy again.
With the right coaching and surrounding cast, Cutler could surprise people. The physical talent is there and he can make all the throws.

Not to get caught up in names...but we have a QB named Fales? I would rather have a 3rd string guy named Gunner or Cannon...lol

lol, unnecessarily defensive response to a long time member giving his polite input into ways to better improve the forum.

We value your input, we will take it into future consideration. I, speaking for myself, thought everybody was making similar threads about Cutler. Maybe I got too trigger happy.

Thanks, and no worries. I'm only speaking for myself as well. it's just at a time when there is such little new news, I'd rather click a new thread and read about a (slightly) new topic than have to sift through one of a handful of the active but stale threads, hoping to stumble on something (slightly) new. I was just suggesting how to keep someone like me on the site longer for each visit.

Amazing that he needs a 2 man police escort to make sure that he doesn't break airport no smoking rules!

I am sure he just smoked in the restroom like every other passenger that thinks they are fooling everyone. He looks in good shape, least he didn't show up chubby!

One quick point I wanted to make to all of the people saying we shouldn't have been paying Moore if we didn't believe he could be our starter if RT went down... Moore, and I'll say this for probably 80% of the #2 QB's out there, is paid to come into a game when the starter goes down. In a perfect world, no team would want their #2 starting for them more than 1-2 games, not to mention 16. Then people complain he should have had surgery. Probably true, but you realize had he done that, he likely wouldn't have played this year anyway. That means we would have either made some kind of trade or used very high draft pics for a QB in a Terrible draft year for starting QB's. I think the team played the best possible card and I have zero ill will toward their decision process with regard to the QB position.
