This is unprecedented; I've never seen anything like this. One player might tear down an entire regime, I'm shocked more than anything.
I doubt the sources are coming from Martin's camp, Philbin claimed to have spoken with him and had a good conversation. Furthermore, I believe Martin said the only person within the organization with whom he had an issue was Incognito. Lastly, it isn't in Martin's interest to have this information come out, it makes his chances of getting another NFL job significantly less, because if his camp leaked this with his approval then it shows he is willing to go after coaches and what coach will want to deal with that? Now when it comes to this story specifically, in regards to who knows if Incognito was told to do this, only two parties would know if true: Incognito and the coach or coaches who gave the order to toughen up Martin. It certainly isn't in the interest of the coaches to leak this information, but it is in Incognito's interest because it lessens his role in all of this and gives him a way out. I'm not saying it was Incognito, but this new development benefits Incognito more than anyone in my opinion.
