Dolphins Love DT Jonathan Allen - Our Big FA Fish?

Who knows if it can happen but go ahead and string these tweets together. Imagine he and Seiler with Chop, Chubb, and JP coming in hot off the sides. Could keep Calais fresh too if he chooses to stay as he could just be part of the rotation. We have made numerous inquiries into him over the last three years so there has been a lot of interest.

Fingers crossed on this one.

I read it may take $12-$14 million a year. Allen, Seiler & Campbell would be an elite DL. We would be able to create pressure from our front 3. This is the way!

I think it's very unlikely. Why did Washington get rid of him? Big Bucks and draft is loaded at this position I am lead to believe.

I won't say no or complain if we get him...but I ain't getting my hopes up. Now if Omar made the tweet, I would think we were all in 😂
I agree with your assessment as to why they let him go. Washington has a very competent GM in Adam Peters, who got his Qb right in his first draft. He will probably find a cheaper (rookie contract) and productive player in this draft. It‘s the deference between Peters playing chess and goofball, Grier, playing checkers and chasing his tail!! 😂

Should have never been a first round pick. This is an example why Miami have been one of the worst front offices in the past 25 yrs
Yeah, was a reach for sure. Same with Smith. Just can't afford that kind of hit rate on high pick CBs and expect to weather the storm. The fact these two players sucked a**hole the past few years and the doubling down into contracts like Ramsey and Fuller has put the secondary in a precarious place for the foreseeable future.

He's 30. We just had a 37 year old at the same position kill it.
Yeah that sounds like a great recipe for lasting success, pay aging free agents crazy sums of money for a team thats not ready to sniff a Super Bowl.

I don’t even think you have to use one of those two picks to get a good player at the DT position because the position is so deep in this draft.

Which is what I’d prefer, but you can’t expect that player to be an immediate starter.

Where as with 13 and 48, you are counting on immediate production. Thats all I’m saying as far as shoring up that spot before the draft.

Allen could easily have 3-4 more good years and probably at below market rate, seems like you just want to be pissy.

I dont think thats the direction the Fins should go. Its a waste of money for a team that is not ready to compete for a Super Bowl. Having said that, Im sure your guru, Grier will do it!

You don’t think he did a pretty good in free agency last year?

Doesn't he have a long injury history?

I would rather trade down from 13 and take Harmon. I think he is going to be a beast.

No. Fins did not even make the playoffs. How can you say he did good?
Are you being serious or just putting me on? They had a losing record and didnt make the playoffs.
That tends to happen when the starting QB misses more than one third of the season.
