Fins sign QB Z Wilson

Thanks man. I'm back to play some more Debby Downer negativity whack a mole alongside you and some others. Dawn of a new season!!!!

Lets Go GIF

Meh. Let the Debbie Downers have their day; it's their right (and I understand their mindset).

I ride the lane that says, "Sure, you go ahead and be miserable, but if you **** with the optimists, I'll send you back under your bridge." I'm a weirdo that way.

To be fair, I will occasionally take issue with the tinfoil hat crowd propaganda that's had a new and unexpected uprising recently.

Tuaneers worst nightmare may come to fruition if McDaniel fixes Wilson & becomes QB1 resurrecting his career & stepping in after another Tua injury

I think it's hilarious how some are really trying to imply that Tuanon is worried about the Zack Wilson signing or create a fake Qb Controversy.

It is entertainig

It was funny to see the anti-Tuas realize that Zach Wilson was their new savior live. The depths of some fans...

Lol

Listen, I am a Tuanon leader. But I have come to terms that he may just have a short career due to injuries. Unfortunately it is what it is.

It's possible Wilson could be the starter. It won't be because of talent. Anyone suggesting Wilson is a better QB is just delusional.

It will simply be because Tua could not stay healthy, which would be a shame.

But yeah, signing Wilson for 1 year and trying to act like this is the sign Miami is moving on from Tua is pure entertainment..

It's fitting though. 3rd season in a row people are claiming the backup will outright steal Tuas job. Only to end the season talking about how they just sucked and wasn't a legit QB when they can't run the very QB friendly system

It's more hilarious (to me) when some imply that anyone who doesn't agree with an insane level of hatred toward Tua are automatically "Tuanon." They're literally the mirror image of what they're railing against.

I think we all came to that realization last year unfortunately.

I would have preferred Minshew too but I’ll take Z Wilson over rolling with White, Thompson or Huntley

I feel like this is an upgrade.

Agree thoroughly on this.

I’d prefer a knot in my throat in Wilson over vomit in my mouth of those 3 other names.

If there’s any bright side, we know what those other 3 could do in a McDaniel offense- zero. We haven’t seen what Wilson- nor do I hope we have to- might be able to do.

I was actually hoping we'd sign Zach Wilson so this is awesome news to me!

He's literally the most talented backup in the entire NFL:

Having a young, developmental backup with more mobility and arm talent than the starter is the ideal scenario. Wilson is exactly the kind of player you should be taking a flier on...a young guy with elite physical talent who failed working within a notoriously unstable franchise who by all accounts ought to show up motivate to prove himself on a relatively inexpensive deal that keeps all the risk on player to work out his future through hard work and dedication.

Miami isn't drafting or developing a QB in '25 so this is perfect. And this isn't like Rosen where we gave up a R2 pick and tried to have a horrible player move into QB1 under a defensive-minded HC who wasn't going to offer any leadership or tutelage to the guy.

- Wilson costs us nothing
- Wilson will be a backup
- Wilson brings 2 years of experience under OC Mike LaFleur
- Wilson will learn under an offensive-minded HC running a similar system in Miami
- Wilson brings the kind of escapability, mobility and downrange arm talent that often wins toss-up affairs (perfect for a backup)

If i had to pick a QB to start 2 or 3 games for us next year should Tua go down, I'd be hard-pressed to find someone more intriguing than Zach Wilson. What's even better is that Wilson's abilities will challenge Tua a bit in practice as well without necessarily threatening him as the starter.

Personally, I love it.

I don't necessarily agree with it, but Grier/ McDaniel don't want anyone actually competing with Tua. They probably just want someone to hold down the fort when he goes down.
