Flores: Tua is Our Quarterback

What about their rabid excitement for these draft picks:

Barry Sanders
Calvin Johnson
Dan Orlovsky (people seem to love to quote him on this site)
Matt Stafford
Suh
Darius Slay
Kyle Van Noy
Taylor Decker
Kenny Golladay

I can't say we have a roll call that could equal this one.
Damn, you forgot Herman Moore!!!

Really not sure what point you’re trying to make here. The two best players on that list retired just to get out of the franchise and Stafford asked for a trade to save his career. Suh gtfo as soon as he had the chance.

Van Noy was complete trash in Detroit and didn’t become good until he went to Bill’s system.

Slay — good corner. Decker would fit in well on the fins o-line. Golladay is averaging < 700 rec yards owes season and about 5 games missed per season.

Orlovksy ran out of the back of the end zone once.

Quite the list there.

They had a good one for 10+ years...equal to/better than any we've seen play at our stadium with the exception of Marino and Brady. They have one now who has had more than a little success...if we use how Tua was once judged (wins) before he started losing.

That said, I'll take their word over people who have the "unmitigated gall" to say that they would prefer Tua over Watson, Rodgers, Wilson, ANNNND Brady.

That's when I knew we were dealing with a cult and it's time to get their figurehead out of here and let the real Dolphin fans exist.
Dude, you’re post are hilarious

It’s funny the people who run with the angry mob mentality against the QB of this franchise calling Tua supporters cultists or Stan’s. If they were the “Real Dolphin fans” they’d support everyone on the team that includes the starting frickin QB! Instead they come in this forum just to bash the DOLPHINS STARTING QB any chance they get. So you all tell me who’s the “Real Dolphins fan” the angry Tua mob mentality with their pitchforks and torches trying to run out the qb or the ones sticking up for him?

It’s funny they’ll stick up for a guy that’s not even on the team that has a bad history instead of the one that’s actually on the team. Why is that?

You're changing the narrative which is typical for a slice of Dolphins fans...

Tua plays like sh*t and we win...he's great because he's a winner. Tua plays well and we lose to two other bottom feeders it's, "Look at hos 4 TDs".

In our particular case, we were talking about fan's excitement/knowledge for franchise saving draft-picks in light of how they viewed Tua. Their dealings with the team had nothing to do with how the fans felt about them. There's not a player on that list, with the exception of Orlovsky, that the fanbase would have been happy to trade for a 5th round pick as they are with Tua.

In regards to Orlovsky, that was a shot across the bow to all the Tua supporters who use him as a reference point when discussing Tua.

Ha! You admitted it!

Tua troll alert.

Yes...Tua lovers will change the narrative to fit their position.

You got me red-handed.

It’s a trend here now. They don’t think anyone should make league average salaries. They bash Baker and X for making an appropriate amount of money. They give Jones a pass just because their blind hate won’t allow them to be objective. I’m sure that once MG gets his contract they will start hating on him too.

They bash Tua for…..I don’t know what. He’s playing well above average for a guy who has played in 12 games. He seems to have that intangible thing that winning QBs have in this league. I firmly believe that he will cut down the interceptions. But for people to act as though a 2-1 ratio is bottom of the barrel is absolutely ridiculous. They praise Watson who was an int% .1 lower than Tua. 2.1 vs 2.2. His TD% this season of 5.9 is Watson’s career avg and last season Watson’s avg. was 6.1. During his elite season. But they continue to argue about nothing. They want more sacks and stalled drives. As long as they get to see the ball go far. It’s stupid. But you can’t fix stupid.

How do you possibly think the Texans will get a boatload of picks for Watson when this is the only team that Watson has waived his no trade clause for? Do you realistically think the Dolphins front office will give up 3 firsts, 3 seconds & 3 thirds for Watson? If we get him, it will be at a huge discount, nowhere close to what the Texans want because they have NO LEVERAGE!!!! The only thing the Texans can do currently is to pay Watson to sit on the bench until his legal stuff is more clear. If a deal happens at the deadline with the Dolphins, it will be at a huge discount!!!

Even if he didn’t have his legal troubles hanging over his head, we are the only team he has waived his no trade clause for. Again, Texans have no leverage.
You do realize they may have the first pick in the draft on there own and whatever team acquires DW is surely going to give up a 1 at a min so yea, they are set up pretty good. What is your projection for a "huge" discount?

But seriously, Flo, you gotta do better than that. Just say we’re not looking to trade Tua, he is our QB and we’re happy with him.

Whether true or not, this response didn’t help.
