Forget Ronnie Brown!!

do you guys not realize that this is the market? why get a 1 for next year from anyone if you wont want to pay that unproven rookie either?

its the way the system is, its not ronnies fault, its not his agents fault, its the way the system is... hes asking for what hes supposed to get... why should alex smith get 25 million guarantees and ronnie only get 18? if you guys wanna ***** about someone, ***** about alex smith...
 
But what is all of this he wants he wants stuff have any of you heard ronnie brown say im holding out because i want this much ...no....he is in negotiations because his "AGENT" wants paid .......... it has nothing to do with what ronnie wants it has to do with what his AGENT wants ..
 
market value...my friend...market value...Alex Smith and the 49ers set the market value very high...ronnie brown was the #2 pick...he deserves to be paid like the #2 pick...i don't blame him one bit...don't be upset with ronnie brown and his agent...be upset with the 49ers who agreed to give Alex Smith a huge signing bonus.

you can't depend or ricky...foodedaboudit!!!

ronnie brown is our future...show him the $$$.

Who the hell is going to give up a 1st/2nd next year AND have to pay Ronnie what he's asking for right now?
If the Fins didn't expect to pay Ronnie about 20mil up front then they should have traded down in the draft, even if it meant maybe not getting everthing they wanted.

We're going to sign Ronnie Brown before the season starts, possibily within the week. He's not going to hold out the entire season, I put the entire blame on Todd France's inexperience... he's just trying to do his job and get what's best for his client but he is the reason for the delay.
 
This is truly unbelievable.....
People are already ready to show Ronnie Brown, the #2 pick overall the door? He is the 2nd pick and deserves to be paid.....It doesn't matter that he never saw the football field as a pro....he played in college well enough for us to take our high pick and use it on him. That means he should get paid like a #2 pick should. Saying things like"he hasn't showed anything in the nfl" is the dumbest thing I have heard. If you think like that, then why should we pay him at all? Let's make him play the first year for free and then pay him at the end of the year by how well he does.
Some of you talk as if you never heard of contract negotiations before. This is no big deal. If you are upset that athletes make so much money then stop watching sports. Athletes are overpaid, get over it. Ronnie isn't doing anything wrong, he is just playing the contract game before he plays the real one on the field. Your an idiot if you think you wouldn't do the same. This kid will be the man for us in the years to come....have patience.

Speaking of Emmitt, he held out his rookie year too and his career turned out pretty well I'd say. The Niners set the bar very high giving their 1st overall such an increase from last year but that was for a couple of reasons;

1. QBs need as much Training Camp as possible.

2. SF had more cap space than the average NFL team.

Ronnie will be here and playing by the 2nd preseason game IMO and that would give him 4 games of preseason play like a normal season. The 5th game and outr TC opening earliest had made this seem like a long holdout when in reality it is common for a #2. And remember it's his agent not Ronnie negotiating.

I blame the Dolphins & the Niners organizations. Blame the Dolphins because they should have given Brown a number he couldn't say no to before the IDIOT Niners screwed the pooch with a ridiculous deal thats forcing everyone to pony up big time. Right now, I'm blaming the Niners. I hope they have a few more terrible seasons......and another earthquake too!

How SHORT a memory you have... Ricky gets injured and then what do you have? Another 4-12 season.... cause that's what the other runners got for you last season... pay the man the going rate and get him in camp.... Is Ronnie being ****y over 3 mil or are the Fins being stuborn over 3 mil that they make in one game's concessions? Please.... :shakeno:
