This is absolutely inaccurate LOL
Please don’t confuse me being a critic vs. me not being a “nut hugger” of Ryan. Just keep in mind those wars I was in from say the end of 2013 through the first 5 games of 2016 were about his inconsistencies vs. people making every excuse in the book for why we weren’t where we needed to be and how it just wasn’t fair to place any accountability on Ryan Tannehill. It was about me disagreeing with the idea that he is some top 10 QB while people keep shoving down your throat their agenda about him.
And no **** I am a Dolphins fan. If he plays well and they win, I am not gonna sit up here and bash him to keep up some agenda that I don’t have. That is something the hard core Tannehill likers and dislikers do . . . .I am not that.
But I legit saw Ryan make his first big strides in Game 6 of 2016 and I really went out my way to praise him in the recap threads. This man had 0 touchdowns and Ajayi had 200 yards rushing . . . But he managed the game and the pocket so well behind center, it was unlike anything I ever saw from him.
The next game vs. the Bills I created this thread:
https://finheaven.com/threads/the-p...iggest-detractors-step-back-and-smile.335371/
A few weeks later after the Chargers game I created this one:
https://finheaven.com/threads/the-c...-becoming-less-curious-more-respected.335901/
Then after the Rams game:
https://finheaven.com/threads/down-...-breath-we-are-going-to-win-this-game.336208/
This is not “flip flopping” on him based on how he plays during his tenure. This is giving him legit props for his play during that 8 game stretch.
But then if Matt Moore comes in and leads the offense to 34 points on the road in December twice in the division and you give him props it becomes “Oh Ryan would of done this and that and yadda yadda yadda”.
That is the BS I cannot stand. So if I am positive after another QB not named Ryan Tannehill drops a 30 burger and gets us a big win . . .it makes me some villain because I didn’t analyze every throw Ryan would of so called made and apparantely would of gotten us 40 LOL
You tape guys live on the film, I live in the standings and on the scoreboard. The needle hasn’t moved enough in either direction . . . No matter who the QB is.
I am fed up with the organization not doing anything at QB after two seasons the guy landed on IR and I am not sure his mental state, let alone his physical one, will ever be the same.
As for Brock, your refusal to give him any credit for the Bears game is just baffling. He played confident, lead the O to 31 and had a couple big throws in that game, including a huge two point conversion to Stills where he showed grest pocket movement and accuracy and a pretty elite throw.
I was majorly against bringing him here and would of never thought we would be 2-3 under his direction. I am an analytics and numbers guy and I can look the numbers offensively and despite how poor the offense has been under his direction the past few weeks the overall numbers don’t move the needle nearly enough to suggest Ryan Tannehill changes that record.
But then again its not about that for many of you. Y’all are content with what Ryan “would” of done had he been in the game . . . .but when he is in the game the offense is still ranked in the 20’s from a PPG perspective. Sure it looks prettier on tape . . . Who gives a **** if the results are similar.
It is what it is. Its time to cut bait on Ryan and it sucks because he was playing good ball in 2016 . . . But that doesn’t mean he gets a free pass to be depended on until he maybe reverts to form. **** is a joke that people just assume that same guy from 2016 is gonna show up.
