Give Fiedler a Chance?

If you give him one coming out of half, then why not another? Then another? Then another? Then maybe another game to regain the confidence of his teammates.

At some point a HC has to make the call. DW for once made the right call.
A-men!!

So, is this going to be your position if AJ struggles for maybe a game and a half and DW calls on Jay to bail the team out?

The only problem is, is that he's has to many bad games. Bye Jay, hope you love holding that clipboard. Get use to it, cause that's what you are going to be doing the rest of your career. Thank God!!
Finzfan 4life , LMAO, u aint even a fan. I hope jay reads this and comes to your house brotha.:fire:

If I weren't a Dolphins fan myself, I would love to see Jay end up somewhere else and kick the **** out of the Dolphins just to give folks like you something to moan about. There isn't anything wrong with being happy about the change in QB, but there is something wrong with being so damned mean spirited about it.

Nope. AJ is the long term solution or is at least suppose to be. JF was not. AJ needs to stay in their and take his lumps and grow as a QB. Miami needs to forget about this season and just take their lumps. Not leaving AJ on the field will only harm Miami next year. If there is a game where AJ struggles badly, then bring JF in and let AJ take a step back and watch. However come the next game put AJ back in as the starter.

Jimmy thats what iam talking about brotha. Finally a real fan staes his mind. I agree mabey feeley is the right choice 4-now, but if he messes up. In comes back the guy that most of u hate. It's disgusting how u call yourself fans.(good stuff jimmy)

I don't think Dave panicd. The only thing I see is Dave was embarressed by his choice. Jay Fiedler came out and made some bad decisions that resulted in turnovers at horrible times. I know there is not a good time for a turnover, however getting a drive going and then throwing an interception in the endzone. Then throwing an interception after a key fumble recovery is just not good.

So give him one series to regain the confidence of his teammates. I think he's earned that in his time here. He's pulled them out of crap they created -- he should be given the chance to pull them out of the crap he creates too.
That wouldn't have happened in that game. I think their confidence in Jay is done. Jay is not the type of QB to come out throwing to win a game. He lacks arm strenth and ability to be accurate throwing. Pulling him was probably the best option even for a desperate coach like Wanny. Also they didn't create turnovers Jay did by the way of 2 ints and a fumble. And you think starting the 2nd half was going to change the outcome of the game? Not with Jay at QB it wouldn't. The guy has to be one of the worse dolphin QB's I have seen. And granted that list isn't very long. So I would probably put him first.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

You know whats funny is that A.J. Feeley is in the same boat that Jay Fiedler was 3 years ago when Jay was battling Damon Huard. He battled durring camp and pre-season and finally got his chance to start after being a back-up in Minn. and Jacksonville. Now it's AJ's who also was brought in to compete for the starting job after backing up in Philly. The only question i ask is will Feeley be another Jay Fiedler or will he be the QB that this teams been seeking since marino's retirement.

Okay, fair enough. I just hope you're not one of these guys who goes on and on about how Eddie Moore or Jamar Fletcher got shots that they didn't deserve. They were/are the future, too.

Dallas?

It's funny you frame it this way because you speculate that Jay wouldn't have changed the outcome, but we KNOW AJ didn't change the outcome.

Did you miss Huard, Lucas, and Griese?

Ok first off just because a squrrel finds a nut and gets lucky every once in a while doesn't mean they will again.

2nd We looked a hell of a lot better with Aj in there. Or did you not see his stats.

finally yes I still would have taken Huard and Griese over Jay. Because Huard did beat Jay out for the job. Jay just got it because of Wanny. And Griese has the talent he just needs a good line blocking for him. And you can keep Lucas that one I will give you.

But...you were so CERTAIN that Jay wouldn't "find a nut" again. Were you that certain before the Dallas game, too? :rolleyes2

Does that or does that not still translate into a L on the record?

Did you ever watch Damon Huard behind center? I have never seen a less competant QB, and that includes situations like Steve DeBerg playing with a broken hand or Jay Fiedler leading Miami to a win against the Broncos with his own broken hand. No matter how big a buddy of Dan he is, he was the wrong man for the team.

And Griese has the talent he just needs a good line blocking for him.

He had the Cadillac of lines in Denver and played himself out of a job. Try again. The NFL is not a league where you can have 5 Pro Bowlers in front of you, and that is what it would take for Brian Griese to be a truly successful QB. He's kind of like a Mission: Impossible tape -- hit him and he self destructs.

1st like I said Jay winning on a consistant basis is like a squirrel trying to find a nut its very few and far between.

Yes I have seen Huard play behind center and he won quite a few games for us. And im not talking creampuff teams that only Jay has been able to win.

He never had five probowlers although they were good. And he never had the chances that Jay has been afforded for 5 yrs going now. By the way I think you got the mission impossible one wrong that fits Jay better. Hit him and he destructs or gets hurt. Every year. I could win the lottery with odds like that.
