Why do people continue to make the argument "if you take away his best games his numbers are average" NO ****ING ****
They are called outliers. They skew statistics. People take them out to get an alternate view of the data. It happens all the time.
an observation that is well outside of the expected range of values in a study or experiment, and which is often discarded from the data set:
Experience with a variety of data-reduction problems has led to several strategies for dealing with outliers in data sets.
Not justifying removing the TDs this time, but that is why it happens and why it is sometimes justified.
