Today, I'm posting players who I graded in the top-5 rounds. I'll also post a list of players who are absent from the board - due to missing physical tests, me needing more info, or me just needing to watch the player. I included each player's tier in parentheses. My hope is that this makes it easier to determine which group each player belongs to. For example, in the 3rd-5th RD group, it's the 3rd tier of WR's but the 4th tier of TE's and CB's (better positions for the 2017 Draft). The round designated for each player is an indication of where I would be happy to draft the player in any draft/year. The asterisk next to Garrett just indicates that he's a level better than everyone else. A strong group doesn't help or hurt a player's stock. Enjoy! Let me know if you have any questions, and let me know if you think anything is stupid :brewskis:

Just added overall rankings (1st and 2nd RD as of 4/2). See the number preceded by the asterisk.

J-off, great stuff. Curious to know where you would have Butt and Jones if they were healthy?

Thank you! 2nd RD for each. I like them both a lot, but physical limitations keep them out of 1st RD consideration, and the injuries knock them down another peg.

Well done.

How do you feel about Pharaoh Brown and have you ever studied his game or watched him play?

Thanks Slimm! I haven't. Beautiful frame, probably the most impressive frame of the entire TE group. I should have listed him in my players I need more info on - watching him, in this case. Good vert, too, for someone that size. Where are you projecting him?

Watt, Bowser and Willis top 10? You think highly of those guys i haven't even seen mocked in the first. I'm curious why you like Willis especially, hes very raw right?

I think Willis' rawness is overstated. He posted good career production, and he had an outstanding Senior season. To your point, though, they're rated highly for the same reason I rated Vic Beasley, Bud Dupree, Frank Clark, and Danielle Hunter higher than most. They're elite athletes at positions where that translates more than any other. It's also the most premium position apart from QB. Willis had the best overall workout of that group, but Watt and Bowser bested him in the 3-cone. Long story short, premium position + excellent indicator of success = premium prospect.

Bowser averaged a sack per game as a Senior, and Watt is just scratching the surface of what he'll be.

don't see dalvin cook or am I blind

His abuse of women and animals (dogs) caused me to drop him off my board. I could understand losing your temper, but I think he's probably just a bad person. If I get new info that causes me to change my mind, I'll make the necessary adjustments.

I love Witherspoon and see that you think highly of him as well. Wonder if he could make it to Miami's spot in R2? Good person, smart (pre-med I think), and long-limbed with production. A little bit of Richard Sherman in his game.

Interesting take on Willis. I am very surprised, after he owned the combine, that he isn't being mocked in the 1st round. I see him as a real target for the Dolphins at #22. Wouldn't at all surprise me.

Nice work!

Another question...what pushed Foster to a 2nd round rating for you?

Foster is right on the edge for me. Runs well, hits well, seems like a team player. He weighed in at 229, didn't test, and he's a tick late to react at times. I think the last point would be a bit more obvious if he didn't play on such a great D. That's not to say that he's a bad player. But, these factors increase the risk, so I feel better about drafting him in the 2nd. If he tested and put up a Combine in the range of Cunningham (good, not great), I'd group him with Cunningham and Reddick in the 1st. Speaking of risk, the draft is really just about risk/reward assessment. The further people get from that idea, the more nonsensical their rankings will be (imo). I think Foster will go in the 1st, and I won't slam the pick when it happens. Top-10 seems like crazy talk to me, though.

Thanks SF! It's a deep group, so I could see him being there. Good chance one of the 1st RD CB's is there anyway. I think he's currently rated as a 2nd/3rd RD pick by most. 33" arms, good speed, and high-end burst, he'd be an ideal fit in Miami. It's hard to emphasize enough just how stacked this group of CB's is.

With regard to Willis, I keep seeing people say that his tape doesn't match his Combine performance. I don't agree, and people said the same about Frank Clark and Bud Dupree. In general, if someone tests like a freak athlete, he's a freak athlete. He's my top want for Miami at 22.

Doesn't that freak athlete tag also apply to Reddick? That's why I want Reddick the most. But i do see what you are getting at in regards to Willis. An elite sack producer

Yep! Terrific athlete, and he's probably one of Miami's targets at 22. He's not grouped with Willis, Watt, and Bowser, because his size will allow him less opportunities to rush the QB, missing the 3-cone mark, and he'll need to learn how to play LB. I'd be happy with him at 22. He should pay dividends early in the passing game - with high upside in coverage (came to Temple as a CB).
