Jay Fiedler situation...

Oh yeah, of course Jay would have to do some major restructuring in the first place for any of this Jay comes back stuff to be considered.

Yes Fiedler has hit Recievers in stride.............maybe few and far between, but it has been done!

Examples??? More than Twice???

not if we can find an upgrade....which I'm all for doing so. If we can upgrade ANY position.......then we should do it (but preferably with an emphasis on priority spots....i.e.....no more linebackers this year in the draft please)....

Okay your right, we'll give him Randy moss, bring Terrell owens in as are slot reciever pick up Tony Gonzalez to line up with randy mcmichael and then we'll work on the line we'll start with Orlando Pace at LT and...................

Nope..............wouldnt work! Just get that Oline fixed first, then get a coordinator to play to his strengths.............u know swing passes, comeback routes, TE seam routes and roll outs, stuff of that nature. Jay is not as bad as many of you make him out to be. Hell the best Qb's have quirks in the machine! The key is to hide the limitations and shine the light on the things he is more than capable of handling!

what stars and moons do you need to be put in order to see that a 10-6 record isn't a bad year, and that our losses you can't squarely sit on JF's shoulders? Is he the best QB .....hell no.....does he deserver all that hating that he gets from fans.....no.

Here we go again with the hating

I am just being real I like Jay but I do not want him as our QB ever again. Is that politically correct?

Why do you Think BG was let Go from Denver?

The team has gotten better on paper every year since Jay took over. Every year the team is further from the playoffs. Jay is football cancer. Why anyone would want him back in any capacity (let alone teaching a young QB) is beyond understanding. If we are going to keep either QB it should be BG. He has proven he can be a probowler (maybe never again but still) and only had 4 games to show how he can play. He even missed the entire preseason. I think BG will be better with a full preseason and a year of dolphin football under his belt. NO way we bring back a four year loser over BG. I hope next years QB depth looks like this:
Either
BG/Henson/Sage
or
Brunell/Henson/Sage

If we miss on Henson, Rivers would be a solid second choice.

I believe if you speak with Denver fans they would ask you why did MIA pick him anyways.

BG had more talent around him in Denver than here in Miami. In his 4 years with Denver, they did not win the only PO appearence in 2000 against Balt, that was his best year. Needless to say he played in 15 games that year and has missed 12 games do to injuries while in Denver. At least JF made it through one entire season, without injuries. They (coaches) realize that BG is not a leader, gets rattled while being pressure and or sacked, and also like JF is injury prone.

So please, Next year this team should have a starter at QB, someone with backbone and an attitude, that excludes BG...

So you want us to keep Jay?? Just replace a player or 2 on the line?

Don't forget the kick in New England that could have tied the game. You make those 3 kicks, and Miami could have been the AFC east champ. He is another guy on this team that I think makes to much money to keep. You can't pay a kicker 2 mill to make 77% of his kicks. You could pick up a college guy that could do that, and give him the league min.

I agree............there were a whole lot more problems than Jay not hittin the long ball. ( which he did on special occasion) 10-6 is not bad, but as u stated 12-4 were Mare makes from reality..............then nothing is said about Jay failing for 4 years and so on and so on.......

and fiedler hahahah

Yes....................I do want us to keep Jay...................and yes, we do need a player or two or three on the line. Im not opposed to Jay being a backup either though. But continuity is gold in the NFL.........like someone else stated, the players have faith in Jay, so that alone brings him back in some capacity!

what about the year before.....the oline was fine

i see it more as shaq is fiedler........and danny ferry is the fans of the dolphins

The team is better off (salary cap) having Jay restructure his contract or take pay cut instead of out right cutting him.Is basicly going to come down to:
If the Dolphins can draft a young stud at QB to groom behind Fiedler. If they are unable to get their guy in the draft than I will assume they will try hard to land a Mark Brunell (Hopefully) while Fiedler will be ask to backup Brunell.

I really don't see the Dolphins cutting Fiedler so in conclusion Fiedler will be back next year in a new role backup or to groom QB.

IMO, Fiedler is nOT a player you would want to restructure since it would only delay the inevitable and spread more dead money out longer. That's the problem we have now with madison with an 8+ cap # for a guy who's not even worth half that. Besides, Fiedler already said he will not accept a backup role and there's no way he gets the big $$$ so it's simply..........C-ya.
