marino is seventh best qb

of course, 1 of Dan's records is
Highest Passer Rating, Rookie, Season (Qualifiers)
96.0 Dan Marino, Miami, 1983

I would think was #4 in pass rating based on this, but either way it is obvious that the west coast offense made the #1 and #2 guys.

96.8 Steve Young, Tampa Bay, 1985-86; San Francisco, 1987-1999
92.3 Joe Montana, San Francisco, 1979-1990, 1992; Kansas City, 1993-94
86.8 Brett Favre, Atlanta, 1991; Green Bay, 1992-2001

Dan is the greatest QB of all-time or at least since I starting watching football - Post-Unitas. If you ever watched what he was able to do and how no one was able to do it as consistently, you would know that. He could throw any pass with ease and was great at using his size and feet to avoid being sacked. Unfortunately, he never played on a team that had a running game and a defense. And when he was close to having them, the Bills were just a little better all around - particularly their D and coaching staff.

Gee looks like number one in all the majpor categories. Especially things like touchdowns and wins. Don't they count the most??YES!

Congratulations your credibility is shot. Not go away.

I'm not taking sides, just posting stats...
2000 SB: J. Elway: 18-29, 336 yards, 1 TD, 1 InT
T. Davis: 25 carries - 102 yards 0 TD
1999 SB: J. Elway: 12-22, 123 yard, 0 TD, 1 INT, (1 TD rushing)
T. Davis: 30 carries 157 yards, 3 TDs

The 2 wins were very different, as you can see.

So true clayton83. Watched some old dolphins games on video tape 1985. God Marino was awesome. Any one who doesn't see that is either blind or to young.

First of all, you have to remember, opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one....Bronco and Dolphin fans will never agree on who the best quarterback is, just one thing can be assured, Montana was a system quarterback

The kid must have been dropped on his head as a kid. He comes to a Dolphins message board and comes and claims Marino is the 7th best QB? Thats like saying you were a communist back in the 50's. Real smart kid......

sounds like a good, diplomatic approach to me :D

It's all part of the master plan, I just watched the old 80's miniseries "V" on tv and have learned to attack your enemies you must draw them closer:evil:

actually I was just looking for a reason to post the evil smiley face, it looks pretty cool

First of all, as has been stated many times, winning a Super Bowl is a TEAM effort. Second, Marino had that amazing quick release, who cares if he could run.

Umm, Actually Elway is first in wins by a qb, so umm yeah

qbs don't win games, teams do.

:monkey: Elway

:hail: Marino

qb's don't win games????hahaahaahaahaahaahaahaahaaa, go back and watch a broncos game from the 80's, or better yet, watch "THE DRIVE" AFC championship game from 86, then tell me qb's don't win games

I'm with you. Come on Bronco. I need a good laugh.

If qbs win games why are any of the other players even out there? A qb can make a tremendous impact in a game but cannot win a game all by themselves. Get real. What control does a qb have over what happens when the other team's offense is on the field? I stand by my statement.
