Saban knows this kid better than anyone. We needed more youth in the secondary as well. Obviously this kid knows Saban well too, which should make it an easy transition for him coming into Sabans' defense here in Miami...

Another solid defensive choice IMO. That "old defense" of ours is quickly becoming a young one. THUMBS UP!!!

OUR D WAS PRETTY TERRIBLE LAST YEAR TOO!

I dont care what the "rank" was- we never stopped the other team when it mattered (OK, maybe ONCE, Monday night..) The D needed as much work as the O!

Where are our needs on O? A 3rd string QB? Why use a high 4th on that?? A WR? Last I checked we were OK at that position- certainly dont need to waste a high 4th on it. OL? We have the depth- let Houck do his work. I mean seriously....

This pick took some big balls. Saban coached him in college and then picks him for the pros. If he sucks, And I hope he doesn't, then I know that our coach sucks.

I would prefer some help on offense please!! Don't get me wrong, I want this guy to be a screaming success, but how about addressing our offense.

Most of you are going by the names that you have heard and that you know - that doesn't mean they are the best players - there is a reason other teams are avoiding them too.

Thank you...we have all been spoiled in the first 3 rounds with picking big name players, and once we picked someone who wasnt a Anttaj Hawthorne or a Elton Brown, than people get mad. Just because you havent heard of him, doesnt mean that the kid is horrible.

Yes HVAC. He was a better pick than a number of R3 corners, incluidng the Pats pick.

He's got a lot more upside than Hobbs who'll never be a full time starter, but Hobbs will be a very good nickel/dime guy and special teams player IMO.

True on Roth and Crowder, not true on Daniels. No one had Daniels as a 3rd rounder, he was probably a 4th to 5th round type guy.

Still Id like a young guy not Dario Romero for the future.

Yea, I agree he does have talent, and if he would of ran better he was a lock for late 1st early 2nd. I dunno...he could play safety also. Either him or Daniels would of been good.
