yea, its hard to root for them b/c u dont know how long these players will be here with our past history...but i still find myself watching

He has 'rumored' fractured ankle. No-one knows what is going on because the orginization won't tell.

He will be back soon enough, 3 to 6 weeks is my guess.
 
So is Cabrera gonna get traded? And what would it take to get him, the Dodgers have plenty of young talent to offer, probably more than anyone else at this point...

:lol: I opened this thread to ask the same question, but substitute Dodgers for Angels obviously.

Please, stay away. Marlins need to pay him, period, if they want to keep the shrinking fanbase that they have. If either Cabrera or Dontrelle get traded, I don't think I can stomach watching another Marlins game.
 
May 31 Henry Schulman, of the San Francisco Chronicle, reports the San Francisco Giants are close to trading CL Armando Benitez to the Florida Marlins. The deal could be announced following the Giants' game against the New York Mets Thursday, May 31. It is unclear what the Giants will receive in return, but it is believed to be a major league player.

The player to named is randy messanger according to yahoo.
 
Marlins won the series v.s. the Braves and looked very good doing it.
There is also a rumor saying the D-Train may be on the way out.
 
If we can get great value for Dontrelle I would trade him, and use his money to sign Cabrera long term. Right now Dontrelle is probably the most overrated pitcher in the game, and he isn't a true 'ace' more like a #2 or #3 pitcher.

Anyway it was great to take 3 of 4 games, and the draft is tomorrow.

I doubt we will get GREAT trade for Dontrelle, But I am sure he is gone. Cabrera is way more important to the team and I hope we can sign him to a huge deal cause he is the franchise right now. I am gunna be sick if the D-Train goes to the Yankees tho
